BLOCKS is the only podcast I've ever been able to "get into" for a significant period of time. I would like to see Neal have a few more guests who are not stand up comedians, cuz the episodes w/Josh Homme, Tony Hawk, Terry Crews, Natasha Lyonne, Weird Al were so fantastic. Uniquely memorable.

Him not grasping why Andrew would want to be in films is particularly strange. It's probably because he was rejected by "traditional" media and people like Andrew/Bobby are being embraced by it. Although it's no longer the dominant art form (I don't even know what is because everything is so fractures), film is still the superior art form.

Ive always associated Neal Brennan as sort of a background character in the general auroa of comedy. Just now realizing he has an insane amount of talent, his comedic IQ is incredibly high, even just in conversation his ability to disect and articulate ideas. His achiles heel is his mono tone type style probably do to his depression, otherwise he could be right up there with the greats like Louie.

I want to make a Baskets as well. I want that for the experience. I've made a bunch of stuff and gotten no credentials or applause for it, but making it was a process that I enjoyed (even if there was frustration at times). I would make a piece of art for the same reason that I'd hike a mountain. Hiking a mountain doesn't "do" anything, but it's a journey I go on and an experience that I remember.
