Yes! Thanks Cooper. The input gain trick was great. Been doing it with the mix for years. Three knob tube distortion, never really used much, but really opens these amp models up. Another thing Neal uses a lot and no one ever talks much about it is the Boss compressor. Been using it for years in front of Fractals and it’s a game changer. Try it!

Fractal needs to fix the gift of tone file that you download as it does not work for the FM3 . nothing transfers over when imported or dragged. FM3 unit and Fm edit are up to date as well.

I’ve been using and modifying the ‘stone in love ‘ factory preset since the Axe II and honestly it is closer to Neal’s tone than this preset IMO. The Dual amp makes a difference in depth. However this gifted patch uses a couple of great features , such as assigned pedals for controlling delay + reverb , reverse delay , and that awesome reverb . I will add them to my Stone in Love patch .

Very generous, many thanks! I noticed there is no volume boost for leads, neither in a filter block or in scene or amp volume change. Does Neil use outboard gear for managing overall volume? Or do the FOH folks handle all volume changes?

Hey there, all of the presets are for Axe-Fx III, I couldn't import the FM3 version (and Yes, the firmware is current to v7.00) then decided to check the Sysex details with the utilities in the FM3 Edit. That displayed the NS GoT 2023 FM3.syx is for the Axe-Fx III, in fact the FM9 also displays the same details. Can you upload the correct presets so we can start using this? Thanks!

playing is great! sound is good! It seems to get a little cluttered with all the reverb/delay!! I wonder if it sounds that cluttered live(to your ear)! In a band situation seems like the guitar might get lost or lose some of its clarity! I'm not criticizing, I'm just considering buying one!!

This preset was designed for stadiums. Neal wants to hear his delay and reverb, so it needs to be a bit higher mix to translate in that environment (EQing the actual reverb and delay becomes key, here).

I’ll never get how you can use 1 pitch block on the FM9 and FM3 even your preset is super basic and would hardly touch the DSP of the units overall. It’s a weird allocation of DSP power.

Sounds so digital and lifeless. When you grow up playing analog tube amps your ear hears the difference, fingers feel the difference, it's just not the same and live it's not even close. just like when the change happened from cassette to cd's all of us music lovers and musicians just hated the sound of a CD, it was un natural and to perfect sounding, music is not perfect and never was until the digital age came about. if you have grown up in the digital age i get it, you weren't there, but for those of us who were it's just not natural sounding and as much as Neal schon was a big influence on me it has made me realize he's just gotten older and the cost of flying, driving a big rig is just to hard as you age and thats sad it has come to that for much of the older guitar players. If i get to the age i can't take my rig, my sound with me, it will be time for me to hang it up. I actually love tech, i work with lots of technology in my line of work, it just has no place in my life when it comes to playing my guitar. Nothing like cranking up one of my old boogies, Marshall or Soldano, i even have an Engl i love with my floor pedals and old midi rack gear. there's just no replacing it.
