I really hope Jerry reads the comments! Is still my favorite character in Stand By Me & was so excited to share this movie with my kids. Thank you for sharing your blocks! Love you so much more!! ✌️
@technicolorgiallo11119 күн бұрын
In the off-chance you're reading this, Jerry: You were not a downgrade from Stamos, whatsoever.
@mitmon_85388 күн бұрын
I was going to comment this too. As soon as that news came out, I thought, good for Rebecca. What an upgrade. Jerry seems like such a good, affable, funny guy compared to Mr. Stamos. Stamos might be more classically handsome, but that has to come with all other kinds of issues.
@erigeeka7 күн бұрын
Came here to say the same thing, Jerry is definitely an upgrade!!
@jhcali712 күн бұрын
I remember those days, the tabloids and comments. I always assumed Mr. O’Connell appreciated Ms. Romijn in ways that Stamos couldn’t. Emotionally or physically, he brought the goods. 17 years in a celebrity marriage is like 34 in “regular” years, and is no easy feat. Congratulations and hope to many more years ahead!

Knowing Neal's anxiety (and I can relate to this in part), I bet Jerry said exactly that, "He'll be back soon!" (because he's great, because he's taking a break, etc.), and that Neal FULLY misinterpreted it because he happens to be in his head (as I can do often!).
@afiganyo56789 күн бұрын
100% it goes along with Neal's constant drumbeat of being underestimated, underappreciated, etc. I am glad Jerry just confronted him about it. I think he needs a new song, "Nobody's Hating On You" - ♫ Nobody's hating on you, nobody's hating on you, you're letting your childhood shape your view. Nobody's hating on you, nobody's hating on you, you're living an awesome life, my dude. ♫

My parents rented Stand By Me and Aliens and we watched them as a double feature. Still two of the greatest movies ever made.
@rendx27769 күн бұрын
I feel like someone could probably write a fascinating paper about a universe where Aliens is (or seems like it is) the sequel to Stand by Me: but you only realized it because you happened to see them as a double feature!! 😂🙂

I don't know how Neal has done it... but I loved the brooding malcontent Neal...which is why I started watching these... and now I'm smiling and laughing... Mine and my wife's favorite character on stand by me was by far Jerry's character. Not only did he bring the plot he also had more genuine emotional scenes than any of the other characters. That being said we fell back in love with him on sliders. I'm currently watching the podcast now I don't know if there's been any mention made later in the pod, but that show was phenomenal! If the opinion of a couple of Syfy nerds matters lol🤓🤓

It's interesting Neil referred to Jerry as a touch stone. I can literally use Jerry's work as a touch stone for my life, to remember what was going on in my life at the time. Kangaroo Jack brings me right back to my parents living room. I can even remember the brand of the TV I watched it on, the furniture in the room, my sister's on the green couch with wooden legs, the glow of the yellow lights in the kitchen. It was right around the time my oldest sister was moving out. It was one of the biggest changes in my life. For the first time my entire family wouldn't be living under the same roof. But, all of sat there and watch that silly movie. It was enough to gather around, but not hold our attention from conversation.

Stamos' career high was Full House. She definitely didn't down grade hooking up with a hit and modern classic film star. Now if she ended up with Feldman, that would of been a whole different thing for reasons other than Stand By Me.

I was 4 when Stand By Me came out so in my childhood he was Cush from Jerry Maguire, which was a massive hit and he played an amazing role in it.
