As a woman finally out of a nightmare marriage with a high-conflict, abusive husband, this convo makes me happy that there are actually kind, deep, loving men out there, and that means there’s hope for the world.

Excellent as always. I doubt any of these guys read this shit, but I’ve not always been a huge fan of Judd’s comedies. But he’s one of my favorite people and I think he’s wickedly funny and smart. I LOVE to hear him interviewed. I think I cringe at the awkwardness in his movies sometimes. I think we’re blessed to have him.

My favourite thing that Judd was involved in was The Larry Sanders Show. So glad he did that documentary on HBO on Garry Shandling and how groundbreaking his work was in comedy. Basically paved the way for The Office to exist and flourish but is now virtually unknown by a whole generation

Another episode I really liked. Great questions, relaxed guest, GREAT listener (as the one having the interview/talk), learned some new things about Judd, got a few laughs. All around great company on the treadmill. I get that it is totally not possible to get everyone to want or be able to be a guest on a podcast. And it is non of our business why someone might turn up as a guest or not over time. But I can dream, right? And a few I dream will want to (or Neal will want to have on) are: Maya Rudolph, Bo Burnham, Bill Hader, Trevor Noah, Seth Rogan, Jim Carrey, Kate McKinnon, Jerrod Carmichael, Phoebe Waller Bridge, Rami Yousef.

it's incredible that judd has had such a long career involving so many important voices in comedy, yet he can go on twitter and routinely come across as one of the dumbest men alive. the way that comedians continue to embrace him after the absolute humiliation tour he went on crying about louis ck's leaked set is bizarre. just as he said about getting the stiller gig- he looks better on paper than he actually is in the actual comedy community. i'm so glad jim norton was a real friend to louis and a real comedian and refused to bootlick like these other guys. for him to attack the process of building a standup set just shows why no one can quote a single judd apatow standup joke.
