Good tutorial. Really hope EA decides for the next game to fix the shooting, so power strikes near post aren't the only viable shot choice. Because of how ludicrous near post is, 70% of the player population uses drop back or overload ball side to prevent those chances.

Warren Emordi lol I know I do it but sometimes it’s just tiring because I use to love fifa because u could get creative with the play, the tiki taka, the one two play, long shot , headers , bycicle kicks, understanding futbol help with better diffence and it was tactical yes I use to lose a lot in D1 but ey I learn from each defeat cuz the play style was so different. But now, ai defending, slow game play terrible servers, inconsistent finish, inconsistent gameplay, scripting, rebound goal, inconsistent manual defending, the game is just going down hill

All of this would help if it didn’t feel like I was playing a dancing on ice simulator. Creating those opportunities are near enough impossible when gameplay is bad because left stick dribble just doesn’t work in poor conditions.

yes there is a way. You have to anticipate the moments, when the Opponent makes a through ball on the Wing. Dont try to overcommit but instead run back. You have one huge advantage against the opponent; He has to get the ball in the Box (by running in their or making a pass/cross). So you can run back and try to cover the passing lanes into the middle. i play Söyüncü Tots as my LB and he is really good in that, even against Demebele, James and other players. Sometimes it happens that your CB moves out on the Wing to defend because of a rotation ploicy he could have with the Fullback. If that happens and the CB is too wide already, then run into the CB spot with the player you are defending with and when you closed down the space, then choose your CB on the Wing. Its all about stopping the Opponent from being able to cut inside at the end or make a pass to the edge of the box. there are many ways to survive, if opponents try to break your wing. I love to play Nealguides 5-2-1-2 or 5-3-2. Why? Because many opponents have their Defense staying back, but the midfield and especially the Attack tries to overrun you with numbers. Many play the 4-2-3-1 and many people also use at least one CDM in that formation who is a Box-to-Box mitfielder to support the attack but also defend and if they are really pressing, they also use their Fullbacks for link up play. That means, that when you play a Formation with 4 midfielders and you are not the best player, that one or two opponent players might not be marked by a defender and create space. therefore play the 532 or 5212 to hold on to the win. Because with 5 at the back, your defenders can manmark all the attackers, plus you have 3 CM/CDm to close the gaps and try to get the ball off your opponent. Just a tip.,

Such a great vid. So, scripting decides or at least has more involvement for shots in the semi circle. That explains some goals I've made with players like Kimmich TOTSSF and goals I've received from players like Delaney SH. Impossible goals both. Also explains some goals I've received in SB with finesse shots from random players during games that seemed way too scripted at that time.

This is good information. I always score after doing the dragbacks diagonally but wondered why the near post shots don't work as much when I'm going forward. I will try this out in rivals. And yes it's very dumb that the most consistent way to score is at the near post. When the far post is it in real life, and also where u are most likely to get tap in rebounds. Not only is it harder to score, most times the keeper knocks the rebounds past your incoming attackers at the far post. EA logic I guess. But good vid.
