@Misto_deVito6009 Hominins _were_ "nerfed" from their ancestors strength-wise. Whatever the reason (reliance on tools, downsizing caloric needs to more easily live in bigger groups, "specing" into brain power, etc etc), we are less physically strong than our closest non-hominin ancestors. Hell, even the earliest Homo sapiens were notably more robust than we are today, though that could be explained with lifestyle differences brought about by agriculture. Even neanderthals were affected by this gradual shift in strength from earlier hominids. Though, yes, the idea that neanderthals = stronger, therefore neanderthals were our ancestors or otherwise were more primitive, needs to end asap.

Humans just got into America like thousands of years ago. The reason why it took so long was because some of the animals living at the time potentially kept us from getting to the North American continent quicker only if people knew the kind of animals that lived here before we did. Inbreeding with Neanderthals would have been common, but only up to a point. Eventually the remaining Neanderthal DNA still present in humanity will become so diluted that it will barely exist anymore. Thankfully, genome sequencing and preservation is becoming more sophisticated, so I don't think it'll vanish from history as quickly as most people think it will.
