The transfusion thing in vampire fiction goes all the way back to Bram Stoker's Dracula.

this was filmed just south of me in a town in Arizona called casa grand and yes it was middle of no where with just a few homes and motels near the freeway exit. Little bit of trivia Paxton, Goldstein, and Henriksen all were in Aliens and if you look you can see on the theater marquee is a listing for Aliens and Cameron has a cameo in it to.

Movie gives off a Southern Gothic vibe. Can totally picture Lance Henriksen as a confederate soldier/general. His performance in this movie is excellent, pure weapons grade scenery chewing.

Great performances. Bill Paxton especially stands out. I wasn't keen on the ending of capturing and then recapturing the little sister and thought the end was quite flat and abrupt. However, it's a unique look at vampirism and well worth a watch. I think 'Lost Boys' and 'Vampires' trumps it easily and it's probably a matter of taste..."finger licking good".

I was surprised to find this review. I thought it’s Wednesday what do we have here? I am not surprised that you guys did a review of Near Dark, especially with Iain’s apparent crush on that actress (forgot her name 😀). Liked the film, but the vampire science at the end with the transfusions was wonky. My favorite vampire movie will forever be 30 Days of Night. That movie to me was so scary. 🧛‍♂️🧛‍♂️🧛‍♂️

My fav scene is when Severn walks up to the semi truck that kaleb was driving and pulling himself up all mangled on the grill was awesome and the walk he was doing was great. I didn't like the scene when they were on the hill they ripped that scene straight from the lost boys after Micheal witnesses the vampires kill a the punks on the hill. Also the scene when Kaleb drives the van into the building to save the gang was kickass. Great video and great movie though! "I taught Severn everything he knows, but not everything I know"
