My hubby is a marine. He injured himself in jump school when his parachute didn’t open in time. His spine & hips were completely injured. He was 21. Instantly he was an old man. He suffered for years. He said he never really asked God to heal him because he felt ‘God had better things to do’. Fast forward to age 36. There are so many ministers and minstries for the totally non christian unsaved, but there needs to be more ministries like this one that are essentially, in my opinion a ministry for the unsaved Christian. I am really realizing lately in my early 40's, with full Glory to God that He has allowed me to live this long already, that through the Holy Spirit's guidance and education I am seeing how many "believers" really have no honest belief in our King Jesus.

I see that Vicki has met an angel 😇 that's wonderful !!! When I was 5 years old I ran a fever of 107, and ended up with brain damage from this fever. Needless to say, I had to be in special ed classes through out my school years. I was bullied every day of junior high school for three years !! I finally had enough, I prayed about it during the three years this was going on, and felt as if the lord wasn't hearing my prayers, so I sat down on my bedroom floor and cried uncontrollabley. I prayed out loud and told Jesus that I won't pray to him anymore, and the reasons why, and when I was finished and got up on my bed, the next thing I knew was that our lord pulled me under, into a deep sleep, when I was waking up i felt a breeze blowing on my body, and it felt like something or someone was carrying me, and when I opened my eyes I saw an angel that was carrying me, and then stopped, because we were in flight. The angel was a woman and there was two other ANGELS WITH HER as well 💕 the angel that was carrying me spoke with me very tenderly and was understanding as to why I was so broken hearted 💔 I apologized for how I spoke to our lord, I was not going to pray to him anymore, but when I met my angels !! I changed my mind right then and there. To make a long story short, I was healed of brain damage that night !!! I was normal for the first time in 8 years, I was 13 years old when I was healed. About a week or two I had my first vision from the lord, and I've had many other as well as four short time visits to heaven. Visions of revaluation 12, it's going to happen very soon and the rapture following as well. Get Ready Now dear saints, no time to waste. Good night and God bless you all...

I'm so blessed. My heart is overflowing. Today we listened to this video and prayed for the salvation of the Lord! The man I care for (I'm a caregiver for the elderly) he prayed a simpler version of your prayer at the end, with me later at the end. I told him you two were his peers that you both had degrees and he listened! ( He was a doctor for mental health) He meant that prayer too. I could tell it was heart felt. He asked for Jesus to forgive his sins and to come into his heart and be His Lord and Savior. I had wanted to have him pray with me before in times past, but this time he did! And I will make sure he grows up in his faith too. We will watch further videos and talk of the Lord. So encouraged and so blessed!!

27 years ago, in a bad car crash, Jesus told me that I would be ok, that my children would be ok. I was enfolded. His was the kindest voice I've ever heard. I didn't want to come back as the car settled back from slow motion mode; I wanted to go with Him. They had to peel me out of the car with the jaws of life. The only place left was where I was sitting. I was still holding onto the steering wheel which was broken - I could move the cables around. They took me by ambulance to the hospital. The only thing wrong with me were seat belt bruises and the vitreous humor was knocked loose in my left eye which healed. It was the first time I'd let the twins stay home with their older brother; if they'd been with me, they would have been killed as there was no back seat left. I've not feared death much since - maybe tornados at times lol!

Jesus spoke to one time in a verbal voice in my spirit, I was standing doing dishes & going over in my mind my failings & regrets & begging God to forgive me of slighting my responsibility about being a more dedicated Christian & begging God not to punish me & suddenly I heard this voice "you do not have to fear me" & it came with a warm whoosh, I felt it from my head to my toes a great relief with no fear!

Thank you so much for sharing your story. I've recently started my own personal journey with Jesus. I'm not sure what prompted it..perhaps it's the world we live in today. But if I'm being honest, I didn't grow up in a Christian household, I've attended different churches on and off throughout my life, but have often been drawn away and not focused my attention on God, but I have always instinctively felt a pull towards him..I can't explain that. I've been watching interview after interview lately because it gives me a personal sense of calm and hope. Please keep sharing these stories Randy because they do have an impact on those who want and need to hear this. I pray that Jesus keeps pulling me closer because I want to build a relationship with him. I have personally never had a NDE but my whole heart believes and for me, I think it's everything. ☺️ 🙏

(Terribly off-topic; but it could save a life if my memory is correct?!) - As a part time Kiwi transplant (expat) from the USA and U.K.; and as just said, pls forgive this terrible tangent/side note - as I’m not trying to nitpick anyone here, and def not trolling… But seeing as your guest is from Australia… and the host mentions how he phoned the ambulance several times using “9-1-1” … I just wanted to clarify for any US travellers that may visit Australia now that CV19 border bans seem to be lifting more and more… Should you ever find yourself in need of Australian Emergency Services; their number isn’t the same as the USA 9-1-1 emergency number. For Australia it’s “0-0-0” (or 112 for mobiles - but did read that SOME Telstra mobile networks are now redirecting both 911 & 999 calls to Triple Zero - but is NOT guaranteed to always work) As for NZ, their EMS # is “1-1-1”. NOT triple zero! No idea if they forward 9-1-1 or 9-9-9 calls? 😢 Lastly if you’re in the U.K.; EMS there is “9-9-9.” NOT 911 or triple zero and iirc those do not forward to 999. So it’s just best to programme the correct numbers in before you arrive. ☮️

Thank you for your testimony. I went through a child who was healthy and then became I’ll with meningitis and was multi-handicapped afterward. He is now in heaven and has been there for over twenty years. It was very hard time in my life, but God was faithful. As the days went on healing has come. I know that one day I will be reunited with him. I can say that after he passed away that I fell away. I just went back into the world. The Lord brought me back into the fold. @@animaladvocate8938 I am a very devout person to God and Christ. I have been this way from childhood. I'm not saying I have not sinned. I am not perfect but I do know that I am being perfected by God everyday. Well, this is my honest story... Many years ago I was working as a Naval instructor. After my day I came home to a young wife sitting on our bed looking very detached. She wasn't working and started to complain about something. All of a sudden as I sat at the edge of the bed I saw a man, up in the corner of the room materialize in front of me. I just sat staring up and over at him. Behind him was blue sky with thin whispy clouds. He had his arms outstretched to each side of him. He had long hippy like hair. He had a beard and a goatee. Around his head was a thin ring at the forehead level. He was wearing a long robe like garment with a thin sash that went around his chest with a small tassel hanging to one side. He was neither white or black... HE WAS COMPLETELY MADE OF LIGHT... As I kept my staring gaze upon him I thought " I wi...", all of a sudden I was face to face with him! The complete thought was "I wish I could see him closer". He anticipated my thought before I could complete it. He was clearer to me in that moment than looking at a anything else real. His hair, eyes, skin everything about him was radiant light. Imagine looking directly at very bright florescent light and you'll have a slight picture. When I was face to face with him I could see very subtle variations in his light which allowed me to distinguish his features. This was Jesus Christ. Why did he come to me you ask... Well shortly after this event my young wife left me for another man and tookour children. I sat in a church crying and praying for God to help me afterwards. I didn't know what I did wrong or if Ihad. During that tumultuous time of seemingly losing everything I went outside and asked God to show himself to me. The response I received was " I already have". I knew from that point forward that he was real. My sufferings was his as well. He loved and loves me so much as left me know that he was there and with me always. Everything in my life turned around greatly. I met a wonderful woman who I am still married to over 25 years later and I was able to restore my life and finances. For a period of time my children were made to think falsely that I was the bad one. I have a relationship with them now as adults and they can now fully understand the truth. God through Jesus Christ loves us so much, even though in our moments we can't always see it. To God time is meaningless. If we choose to put our trust in him alone our future and eternity in his love is assured. I would rather learn and be Shepparded by God in his will than the world. Believe and find him. @@annawiniarska2054 I personally believe that we are all meant to go through trials in life. Trials may include other people who are contrary to God's will. It's only by walking through our trials and the fire are we made better eternally. I look at life today as a journey every day with God's and Christ guidance. I am not perfect but I believe that I am being perfected by God for his kingdom. Anna please don't misunderstand me, my X-wife and I solved our issues long ago. We believe we were too young and immature for a lifetime serious commitment. When it comes to serious matters we are still in agreement and cooperate. My wife now of over 25 years is a blessing. At the moment I decided to never be in relationship again was when she came into my life. I could go on about the several Supernatural sign post we have had about our relationship, but that is another story. Just remember that God's ways are far above ours and we will not always understand them... (Read The book of JOB 38). In the end it is about our souls and relationship with Christ.

I can concur with what Colin is saying, I'm also an Australian and have seen Angels in the spirit, alot bigger than us, and I've had amazing things happen, private stuff. Its nice to hear similar things and I believe completely in what he saw. Spiritual things are not that clear most of the time but are definately there if we tune in. Worship and prayer and obedience over a long time is always rewarded by God. Just ask God and Jesus to see in the spirit and if your lucky you will.

Australian too....in 2009 I called out to Archangel Michael after reading about him in book, I was at lunch during a work day in Sydney, left the book store said 'archangel Michael help me' and left it at that, as I felt really low that day....when I finished work at 5, I was walking to the train station it was a beautiful day, suddenly a feeling of love and peace overcame me, the way i've described it to others is that it felt like the strongest love you have felt on earth mulitplied by 1000, felt like eveything would be ok, it lasted in some respect upto 3 days just a mind blowing experience which cemented for me that Angels and God to exist.

I love afterlife stories I loved when Collin said he leans on the believers as his family. It has been a reoccurring message to me from Jesus recently. Oh, God Bless you, I am allergic to morphine. I was in the hospital with Broken Heart Syndrome, which resembles a heart attack, in some ways, and they gave me morphine and I reacted from it. If my daughter had not been there and gotten help right away, I don't know where I would be now. Dr. Perry, it says that you were a skeptical academic, but that isn't how you are coming across at all. It seems to me that you had a very deep faith in Jesus, that you sought the truth from a young age, and were faithful. You had a very deep crises with your daughter's accident, I think that anyone would, but you never left the Lord. You are a man of faith.

It’s so heartbreaking when your children turn their backs on the Lord. That happened with my two oldest (now adult) children, who gave their lives to the Lord as children, but are now atheists. It terrifies me that the same thing will happen with my ten year old son. He has such a wonderful faith, but so did my older two until they hit their mid-teens. 😢 All I can do is keep praying for them all and trust them to Jesus Christ and trust the Holy Spirit to convict them of the truth. 🙏🏻

I think the worst thing to happen in this world is that they take your children who walk with the Lord and turn them away. I think it's the devil who is working in that area. A lot of people have turned away from God because they have been told it's not true. So please have faith, and please pray for them to return. I used to teach a religious class and I always told the children that the Lord would never turn away from them, that they may turn away from the Lord, but the Lord would always be there when they turned around. I pray your children turn around very soon.🙏🙏💞

Get them out of public school, and have a parent stay home with them to teach them. If they live in the world of the unbelievers and most of their friends are if not lukewarm, they're going to be influenced to turn out that way. Your kids need education in apologetics and the historical evidence of what's in scripture. There's more early documentation and evidence of Christ than there is of many historical people we accept as valid historical people.

My personal experience in been in the presence off God twas that itt was Totally '''Royal''' could not see him in the dark but but ahh was forced too stand before a ''Royal Being exact time the twin towers fell when ahh was trying too sleep in a german Army jacket on Mount Eden hill in Auckland city. The time off this was 2-3 A.M. in New Zealand, the time all religions say is the most spiritual hour off the day. A supreme love light went through my slim hard body from head too soles and a voice said my prophecy off u.s.a. been attacked had come through. ahh had made the prohecy on Noble King street in Hastings City on George Bush sworn in as President date - 20th january 2001 too a American who ahh came across on Noble King Street. He hit me hard on my left arm as he was up-set with God's message too him through me.''

One should not be put off with people who do not readily accept one's testimony of NDE, they have questions and if you show patience with them, you have the chance to win them over. Many people on prescription drugs or entertainment drugs, experience hallucinations. That is normal and goes with that. But if that is not the case in your experience, you only need to deny any drug related hallucinations. Simply answer questions directly with the spirit of love, it is their choice whether they believe your story or not. It should be enough to have had the opportunity to share your story and glorify God by showing Him and others love and understanding. Not everyone receives truth do not take it personally. Pray for them and move on to what God directs for you to do. Enjoyed your story and this channel. Blessings to all here.

I have been particularly touched by the body being referred to as a vessel. The understanding I got from that made me break down in tears - if the body is just a vessel, every time i followed the fleshly things I was being led by a vessel? It is just a vessel but it can take me to hell if I follow it's demands and not the demands of the Holy Spirit. Just imagine, going to eternal damnation because you let a vessel control you and take you off a righteous path 😭 May my vessel submit to the Lord always 🙏

Bro Colin, thank you so much! Very edifying! I just want to speak regarding your children who you said at this time are not serving the Lord. The Lord tells us in The book of Deuteronomy that if we serve him with all of our heart he will circumcise the heart of our children and grandchildren so that they will serve the lord. If you read it carefully he gives us that promise for our household. Likewise, wherever you find The feast of Passover mentioned in the Old Testament books, you will see that there is “a lamb for an house“. And of course we know that Jesus is the lamb. It was the father of the household who applied the blood to the door post and lintel for the Passover for the family. This is a statement of our authority as parents, and God will honor it. If God makes us a promise in his word, then we do not have to ask him for that promise. All we have to do is walk in obedience, which is Faith in action, and God will honor our life which IS the prayer of faith. In Genesis 22 for example Abraham did not ask God to restore Isaac from the dead, and by the way in Hebrews 11 he was as good as dead because Abraham Received him from the dead in a figure. Abraham simply obeyed God and had a life of reverential fear and God gave him his son back from the dead. God will always honor faith.

That is wonderful. I encourage you to follow that up w/ reading the bible, and learning more of the Savior and Lord Jesus you just devoted your life to and invited in. It's a blessed journey. Find yourself a bible based church as well. Catholic or protestant, whichever type you relate to more and that blesses your soul. 1 Corinthians 12:12-27 talks of the body of Christ being one and not to disregard the other parts of the body as less important. This is talking about all our denominations. God doesn't like discord among the brethren, so try and go into your Christian walk taking heed of this. Different denominations are very competitive and you might run into Christian channels that just fault find. Pray for them, but don't be like them. God bless you on your journey.

Congratulations!! 😍 I've had Jesus as my best Friend, Saviour, Guide and my God, 46 years now. A few years ago I discovered something I believe will benefit you, if you care to check it out: The Pioneer Bible School. It's free and it's online. You would definitely love the movie: The Last Reformation..with Torben Sondergaard. All nondenominational and simply people who follow the Holy Bible. Miracles, healings etc. Bless you sister. Pray daily in a set aside time (asides from when you talk to Him during the day I mean,) and ask him to reveal his word to you as you daily read the Bible. This is how you grow. Don't expect too much of yourself too soon. Maybe (as a rough guide) spend 15 minutes a day in pray and reading the Bible. Gradually, let it grow more. God is with you.

Catholicism has entrenched manmade traditions, and I do agree about too much emphasis on Mary, esp. in certain Catholic sects that even alarm the average Catholic. It's still a Christian church, very similar to Orthodox. I definitely agree w/ a more biblical emphasis on saved by grace through faith, and not on works.

Things like poverty and sad situations have always seemed to be part of my human condition and of course I do believe in jesus christ as savior and lord, I guess sometimes I just wonder if I'm loved by God why does it have to be so hard , I realize it is my own fault and mistakes I'm sure. But I tried to change repent and be good ,I guess I was a legalistic Christian who thought if I did all things but then tragic things shook me up, like I was in shock when my beautiful youngest son got a long miserable prison sentence 5 years Thomas been in prison, pray he gets out. And then my sweet beautiful boy Timothy was stolen from me by greedy group home people who made up lies against me it's long story but it's been 3 years in August 2o 2019 since I seen my son he is mute autistic helpless and it broken hearted to both of us. And I guess it was worst thing so far but I think it really is a kind of spiritual attack pray for us my family please. But I have learned one thing by my brokenness before God, that is that I cannot earn my way to heaven, I can't do anything without jesus christ it's all his mercy and that I repent with tears and when we come to repentance and humble ourselves before almighty God in jesus name amen. Sometimes we just have to say God the battle is the lord's it's yours, I don't believe you like the evil situations no more than I do because you are Holy and righteous and justice is your name also ,but I need the Holy spirit now to help me speak up and serve you from now on to be able to do good works and your will. And I know jesus christ mighty warrior who saves zephaniah 3,17 I know lord jesus that we are more than conquerors in christ jesus love amen. So something has got to give, I'm fighting powerful authorities in indpls, the prosecutors downtown very prejudice against me and my family. And the attorney general I wrote letter to no response so far . And it's not right how horrible they have abused my mute son by courts gave my son Timothy eric bell away by a guardian of Indiana and group home they just want his 2 to 12 million dollar settlement money lawsuit case I filed for him 6 years ago, but they came against me adult protective services, the prosecutors office, and police, but I didn't really do anything wrong. I think they plotted to make money off my sweet child Tim . And now they can't show him alive ,or even a video of him. It's a scary situation. I know he was well and healthy at home with me. It's very frustrating because I'm poor and can't afford lawyer's to help me fight this. God is all I have but God is enough because I know jesus loves Timothy eric very much to. And justice will prevail and things hidden by them now all will have to come to light. I think about the apostle Paul how he suffered by authorities and went to jail to for Jesus christ yeshua messiah . It's true we must trust jesus christ in all circumstances. Fight the good fight. Thank you precious lord jesus christ I praise you for you comfort me and thank God for always being with me, we are not alone the lord jesus christ is with us always.

Agree, sometimes because it is not happening suddenly we might feel nothing is happening, but I have been reassured by God sensing that even though I feel I am not making any progress He is healing me in ways I don't realise. We all need fixing and God can do it suddenly or gradually, we can feel impatient, but He knows what is best for us, better than we know what is best for us.

I appreciate Dr. Perry’s honesty about his family, and how his experience didn’t mean anything to them. Yet, Dr. Perry’s experience will change many lives in this world, who he will never meet. We are in a fallen world. God gives us all a free will, and evil exists on earth. Some people blame God for the bad things that happen. No, it is man’s free will, choices, and the human condition, that cause pain on Earth. Call on God first in your time of need. Don’t make God your last call. Love God unconditionally and thank Him for who He is.

If your God had created us to be perfect (including free will) there would be no need for sin and paradise would exist here on Earth. Instead, he refuses to reveal himself to most of us then sends us to eternal damnation for not believing ... hardly the stance of an all-loving God. We have free will and we use it. We should not be punished for that. There is no reason for that kind of behaviour at all.

@@johnfleet1854 There is no "your God", there is just "God". Jews, Muslims, Bahai and Christians all worship God (and debatably, Hindus and Sikhs do also). God is your God also. There have been testimonies on this very channel and elsewhere from Hindus as others who also were saved-by Jesus. We are not punished for using free will, we are punished for choosing bad, evil and harmful things that hurt ourselves and/or others. He isn't going to reveal Himself to someone who is not listening, which you obviously aren't just by the tone of your comment. Have you, in humility, asked for help from God? Have you listened to His response? Or have you just arrogantly demanded things from Him and not learned from the answers you've gotten?

At the age of three years I had a NDE. I remember dying the doctors did not hear me when I asked for water, I was thirsty. I was in my cot in hospital. I wondered why they did not hear me. I found myself sinking down into blackness through the mattress of my cot then I was aware of being near a bright light. I looked down on my body and saw the two or three doctors looking to each other as they quietly spoke then suddenly looked down at me, then two of the three rush away . I only remember then being in my cot and the nurses telling me to stay in my cot and not try to climb up to try to grab the clock on the wall !.

I remember when I first became a Christian many years ago I heard so much about Heaven, the many mansions, the throne of God, angels etc., that I found it difficult to imagine myself there and Ingot fearful of going to a place beyond my comprehension. So I prayed to Jesus and said “Sorry about this, but I have never been to Heaven and it sounds scary to me because I have never been in a place like that and it won’t be familiar to me!”. Immediately I heard a loving amusement in Jesus’s voice as He said “You know me don’t you?”. “Yes, I know you Lord, but it’s all the other bits I don’t know!”. He replied “Where I AM, Heaven IS”. I’ve never forgotten that!

I'd be happy to tell you what Jesus looked like even though when I was standing in front of him it didn't seem to matter I wasn't thinking about it but us right in his face so I can tell you he looked to be about 7 ft tall he had medium brown wavy hair he had very blue eyes his nose was kind of long and bent his face was a bit thinner and longer more bony structure a lot of bone he had a beard and a mustache and he had very muscular arms and he had on a white robe that had a rope it was not shining because we were in the desert I had just killed myself so it was all about the reason why I was there and what he was showing me and what he was telling me and experiencing I got to experience Jesus for giving me and ordaining me to teach his word

This is a wonderful testimony that confirms that “Once Saved Always Saved” is not sound doctrine. Jesus warned him that if he went back to the world he would be at risk of turning away from his faith. According to this testimony and my understanding of the Bible, even “saved” Christians are in jeopardy of losing salvation and this is sobering. As Christian’s we need to stay in the Word and pray/worship God in Spirit and Truth. We need to live according to His ways and teach others to do the same. We cannot live in willful sin and believe we will be saved. Since we know the Truth we are held to a higher standard. He would rather us be cold than be Luke warm for Him. So let us ask for God’s grace to help us live by the Spirit and keep the faith, live righteously, and finish the race!

It's not by works and never will be. If we believe we shall be saved end of story. It's actually a very sound doctrine. If we don't believe that Jesus died for our sins and is the only means of salvation I am not sure one can have that assurance. I believe some people can be too intellectual/smart for their own good, hence the warning.

James 2:19-22. “We are to examine ourselves to as to whether we are truly in the faith, to test ourselves, that the Lord is in us unless we be disqualified” as reprobate. 2 Corinthians 13:5. We cannot keep on willfully sinning and say we have been born again and are saved. The Once saved always saved doctrine is misleading. Many Christians have a false belief that they are saved because the said the sinners prayer and have no fear of the Lord. They keep on watching porn, living for the world putting up idols above God, lying, steeling, breaking God’s commandments. We are not to grieve the Holy Spirit. If we keep on deliberately sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left, but only fearful expectation of judgement and of a raging fire that will consume the enemies of God Heb 10:26-31. The Lord warns the churches in Rev that He will remove their candle stick and spit them out of His mouth. Yes we are saved by faith, through grace however, if we reject the gift of saving grace by truing away from the Lord we are no longer on the path to salvation brother. We have entered dangerous waters and we must repent and turn back to the Lord and follow Him and His commandments with love, reverence, and allow the Holy Spirit to do its work in us thereby displaying our good fruit as evidence of true faith. Can you imaging facing God after living a willfully sinful life and demanding that He save you because you believe in Him? Yes we will never be perfect as Jesus is perfect until we are taking into His glory. However, we must stay on the narrow path, follow His ways, test our faith, and never stop growing in Christ or we risk becoming reprobate and lost forever. “Not everyone who says to me “Lord, Lord” will enter the Kingdom of Heaven but only He who does the will of my Father” Matthew 7:21 Peace love and truth be with you brother.

There are many people who will see Jesus who are Buddhists or Muslims and see him as Lord they will say Lord Lord look what we did as Buddhists look what we did as Muslims, look at what we did God in your name...many will think they knew him in their own way, but purposely rejected such a great salvation we have in Jesus...If someone was born again/saved at one time of their lives you would make God a liar if you believe He could say to someone who truely was born again I never knew you...if God was to un-adopt that person as a son...human parents don't do that, why should God? You have to think outside of the box. If you are saved now, you are saved eternally. Jesus doesn’t do partial salvations or temporary salvations or trial salvations. He only authors eternal salvations. You are not on trial for your sins, for less than stellar performance, yes God wants all of his children to live righteous, peaceful lives because it's in their best interest. True salvation is a journey followed by sanctification, and for those with stiff necks it may require the discipline of the Lord. Consider the man sleeping with his stepmother, what did paul say? Did he say that man is going straight to hell because he's not repentent?! NO! Paul said deliver such a one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus When talking about eternal life and eternal salvation, the original word for eternal is sometimes translated as forever or everlasting. Your eternal salvation is forever and everlasting.You are saved forever and ever and ever!Jesus’ blood obtained an eternal redemption (Heb 9:12), you have an eternal inheritance (Heb 9:15), guaranteed by an eternal covenant (Heb 13:20), resulting in eternal life (John 3:16) and a welcome into the eternal kingdom (2 Pet 1:11) by the eternal God (Rom 16:26). The eternal gospel (Rev 14:6) gives us eternal comfort (2 Thess 2:16). Jesus said "I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life. (John 5:24). In regard to the I will spit you out of my mouth verse in rev 3, this spitting out passage is sometimes used to terrorize the bride of Christ. “Fail to perform and the Lord will reject you. If you’re not on fire, you’ll be in the fire!” Such an evil line is a million miles from the gracious heart of the One who is faithful and true. Some Bibles translate Jesus’ words as, “You make me want to vomit.” Have you ever vomited up a kidney or a toe? It’s a ridiculous notion, yet this is what some fear will happen. “Jesus vomits body parts.” Thankfully, this horrendous picture is refuted by scripture: “The one who comes to me I will most certainly not cast out [I will never, no never, reject one of them who comes to me]” John 6:37. In regard to Hebrews 10:26 which you quoted, Some use this passage to keep Christians in line.. “If you sin on purpose, you’re out of the kingdom.” But that is not remotely Biblical. When you stumble in sin, Jesus speaks in your defense; he doesn’t condemn you (see entry for 1 John 2:1). It is not talking about Christians who sin, but those who refuse to recognize Jesus as the once and for all solution to their sin. Consider this: 1. After receiving the knowledge of the truth. The only way to deal with our sin is to rely on the once and for all sacrificial death of Jesus Christ. The hebrew audience he was preaching to experienced the knowledge of the truth (That Jesus's atonement was THE answer to the sin problem, but they chose to go back to the animal sacrificial system, since the new did away with the old there no longer remains forgiveness in that system but judgement). 2. There no longer remains a sacrifice for sins. If you reject the finished work of Christ, there is nothing you can do to deal with your sins. A lifetime of good works and sacrificial service cannot clear the slate. Only the Son of God can save us from our sins. When reading the bible consider who the audience it is written to, consider the language and metaphors and cross reference scripture, I think it will help you Rubeng. Remember Jesus leaving the 99 to find the one? The one sheep that was dirty, ensnared in sin? He seeks his children who lose their way and brings them back to the fold, maybe not soon enough for some but Jesus see's the big picture. That's the Jesus I know, not the savior that forgets about his own eager to throw into hell. We are no longer slaves to sin because of Christ paid it all, completely, nothing we can do to live up to that standard, eternal life is divine life. It is Christ’s glorious life which we can enjoy here and now. Eternal life is living forever in union with Jesus..the good news declares God makes us holy. He takes the shards of our broken lives and makes something beautiful, pleasing, sweet-smelling, and Christ-like. God Bless.
