Can I just say this is my favorite gospel song?!?!!! And as simplistic as this version is, out of many versions I have heard, Rachelle's is my absolute favorite. Only because you can hear and see the anointing all over her. Just her and a piano. 🎤

That's just how she sings. She's always sang like that. Jennifer Holliday does similar things. But I believe she had a stroke which intensified her mouth gestures. However they can't help it. That's just how they sing.

You have to understand and appreciate music (particularly Jazz singing/style) to truly "get" it. The "animation" is a form of her artistic expression in the song.
