Paid for a tour to visit pipeline recently…when you get there they tell you coaches are not allowed to stop and you drive on by with just a glance out the window wondering which house is Jaime O’Briens. The $120 J walking ticket I got in Waikiki was a wonderful souvenir.tooThey obviously hate tourists. Thanks for showing me what I didn’t get to see.

First reef? Second reef? THIRD reef??!! And this is like the third YT channel on this surf today in Hawaii, North shore. This is normal and Greatly appreciated. Why all the doom and scare crap?!
@oahusurffilms20 сағат бұрын
Pulled from the National Weather Service -------- An advisory means that the waves pose a threat to those on shore. If one is issued, it's best to stay out of the water. A warning means waves are posing an even greater threat, and it might even mean the waves are already causing damage.

None of my friends can understand that a 5' wave at Pipe has 8 feet of vertical at the take-off.... I lived on the North Shore for five years. I've caught hundreds of 2'-4' waves at Pipe and Backdoor. I NEVER caught a 5 footer. A five foot wave at Pipe has TWICE as much water as a four foot wave. Thanks. I tapped the thumbs up button to feed the algorithm monsters.

Some kids visiting from California told me the same thing last night.
@phonyPope13 сағат бұрын
I often see frames of the warning no swimming signs in videos of the north shore but then there are always photographers out in the water at pipe. Is that something that is just not enforced?
@oahusurffilms10 сағат бұрын
Every single one of those photographers are seasoned and more than capable of handling those waves as much as the surfers. Thats a great question also. You wont catch any inexperienced out on a day like this.
