Here I am showcasing how I like to sew buttons on my finished cardigans. It's quite similar to sewing them on fabric, but some extra steps are done to make sure everything will look neat on the knitted stitches. The yarn is secured a bit differently and it's also quite important to sew the yarn ends in neatly, so that they don't look unsightly when the fronts are worn open.
I filmed this tutorial while sewing on the buttons on my cardigan pattern Intarsia ResetCardi. (The pattern should come out in September 2024.)
You will need scissors, a sharp tapestry needle that fits through your button holes, yarn in the same colour as your button band (or a contrast colour would also look nice) and the buttons of course.
