I don't know what the timeline was when Eric Clapton told George he was in love with Patty? Because apparently George didn't care so much because George was already having affairs. The stories of Eric-George-Patty and George-Ringo-Maureen sound similar. George told Ringo he was in love with Maureen (Ringo was having affairs too). And Eric told George he was in love with Patty. All remained good friends. Patty apparently left because of George's affairs. George I believe went to their wedding. Eric went on to have two kids with other women during his marriage to Patty. Life of a rock star. I think the only one who went onto have a normal healthy marriage was Paul and Linda. Until she passed.

George and Pattie were drifting apart in 1969. George was doing a lot of drugs and meditation and had changed. Pattie felt emotionally cut off from him. She briefly left George in January 1969. That's when George walked out of the Let it Be sessions, to try and mend his relationship with Pattie. The marriage continued to spiral downward, and by 1973, both George and Pattie had had affairs with other people. In 1974, George had an affair with Maureen, while Eric Clapton started pursuing Pattie. For Pattie, George's affair with Maureen was the final straw, and she filed for divorce that same year. I feel sorry for Pattie, as she deserved better. George cheated on her, as did Eric Clapton later. She had bad luck with men.

The affair with Maureen was why George and Ringo stopped being on each other’s albums and singles. George was on the Ringo album and would not appear on another one until 1981’s Stop and Smell the Roses. George did give a song to Ringo for Rotogravure but did not appear and Ringo would not appear on a George track until “ All those Years Ago”.

I think this happens in any group of people who spend a lot of time together in close proximity. In a band you go on tour together, spend long hours rehearsing and recording together, have to go to social events together. And your group plus a close inner circle gets isolated somewhat from the rest of society. In the early days that's through touring a lot, and as you get more famous, it's also because you can't go out anywhere without being hassled. So, it's not that surprising that band members socialise with , flirt with, and even sleep with the partners of other members.

Patti resisted Eric for a long time - even while he was writing songs for her - until it became transparent she had nothing left with George. Maureen to me was fixated on Patti, I think she wanted to (be) her. She dyed her hair blonde, wore it the same, dressed like her and stole her man. She was strangely very rude to Patti and would knock on their door and push her way inside to go downstairs to be with George. That's pretty upsetting. Patti finally told her "Maureen go home" but she still pushed past Patti. What a "honey-do" Maureen was 🤔 (Honey Don't!!) 😐

By reading Pattie book that she wrote, she said that Maureen was coming over to their house (George and Pattie house) to talk with George and to meditate. Behind close doors, yeah right. Maureen knew what she was doing. The door Pattie was knocking at was in her own house. I believe Pattie was more angry at Maureen because all the Beatles wives only had each other almost like sisters and Maureen wanted to sleep with her husband and she did right in Pattie house while she was there. And Pattie was sneaking around also with Eric so don’t point fingers because back then, they all were swingers and love ❤️ crepe right up in there somewhere.

I read Patti Boyd's book. George liked to think he was above everyone else spiritually because of his Indian religion thing. Turns out he was just a creep. She tries to minimize it in the book, but it's obvious he was very dismissive of her. She wrote that the time she knocked on the door when Maureen was in the bedroom with George, she could hear them both laughing at her. I don't blame her for leaving George for Clapton. Plus George was a mediocre guitar player. I always wonder how much greater they would have been if John had let Paul play lead instead of bass. John considered himself the leader of the band and was threatened by Paul, who was the only true musical genius in the group.

That's not at all big headed
