Andi getting pulled almost all set, and getting back to the court and making it count with the ending BLOCK. What a freaking freshman!

This Husker team is young and will only get stronger in the coming years. Lot’s of true Freshman playmakers. GBR!!!

Minnesota impressed me. They played extremely well, particularly the last 2 sets. As John Cook said afterwards, no one is going to want to play them in the NCAA tournament.

I think we might actually see Ally peak at her all time best in the tournament!? I don’t want to jinx it but she is hitting fantastic recently. She just needs to be more consistent with passing. So amazed with her progress bc she use to hit in the block ALL the time. I think the loss to WI motivated everyone to clean up the sloppy play that has been happening recently. Tonight definitely wasn’t the best volleyball but I think the message is clear…have a rest and mental reset, then it’s time to hit the gym because we got a national championship to compete for. I really think if Nebraska plays clean volleyball, they will dominate the tournament… including WI. They let teams crawl back in to sets from all the errors they make.

I think we have Jordan Larson to thank for that!! I heard the staff talk about how Jordan has been working with Ally specifically and how to see the block and adjust accordingly

Batenhorse has improved soooo much under Jordan Larson. These other girls are freshmen who play like it sometimes. No worries, they have the same chance at a title as any top team.❤

Setter is back row so she can't jump and block, but she can stand with her hands like that to try and bump it up. This could have been clean but she touched it twice.

Setter is out of the back row, so to avoid being called for an illegal block (meaning a part of her body is above the net when the ball contacts her), she remained below the height of the net. The first time the ball hit her, that counts as first contact since she's not blocking. She contacted the ball twice in two separate attempts, so she was whistled for a double contact.

The setter ( #1 in red ) is backrow. The ten foot line which is the white line towards the middle of the court means that anyone back row cant block, or jump over that line. Bergen Reily was there and tried to stop that as much as she could without jumping. But that ball landed on her calling it as a contact, I hope this helps!!

@@ellascoastal She didn't jump and so the first contact was legal... it's when she touched it a second time, since she's not allowed to block it as that would mean the block wouldn't count as a touch.
