Now I can get behind these alternate uniforms!... the best I've seen thus far -- for sure not gaudy like some in the past. They should keep these as the permanent alternates - if alternates have to remain a thing. My grandparents didn't have enough money to be season ticket holders, but they did attend games somewhere in the '20s through '40s, when general admission could be had. They sat in the peanut section -- the wooden bleachers in the end zones. If I remember somewhat right, they said that tickets for general admission back then were only a Dollar or two. My grandmother also attended Band Day on the field in high school with her slide trombone :) .

I'd love to see Nebraska permanently change their uniforms to a combination of the '83 team and the mid to late 90's teams. Put the 'N' back on the sleeves like '83 and like our practice unis are.. In addition, change the Husker tradition patch that's on the left chest back to the original one from the 90's that has the cursive script. Always loved that original patch, I thought it was a much more distinguished look.

They break my heart every year anymore. I’m a faithful fan forever, but sad to see these days, since they let fiery Bo Pelini go, we can’t even play .500 football, and that’s hard to swallow when we used to enjoy at least 9, 10 wins a year, winning major bowl games and National Championships.

Pelini rarely beat a good team. Most of his wins were over bad to mediocre teams.
