You are off on Haarberg! He is much improved from last year and he will be QB2. Hopefully not needed except in spots, but for not being in the QB room for a year and then last year, he has come a long way!

Meh. He forced many throws during that spring game into coverage he shouldnt be forcing throws into. Sure he made a great play or two but he's always done that. Flashed and its never stuck. People should still be in wait and see mode with him

Chief borders was not a projected starter. Defensive players that were projected starters didnt play in the spring game i.e nash and ty. Mj sherman was left out bc hes the projected starter

Wilson, Tristan is not the horrible kicker you portray. Last season was rough but many freshman experience real growing pains. I say give Nico O. a legitimate shot. He had a fantastic career in NJ and his potential is undeniable. Let's see what he can do before hitting the portal. Nebraska may already have their guy.

All they did was trim off the fat for Coach Rhule! So win-win for us. We ONLY want players who WANT to be here! To add, I think you are being pretty tough on Haarberg bc he has gotten significantly better since last year and I think he will get significant playing time as our QB running threat. He'll kill that zone read Everytime w them wheels he has on him. Dylan & HH are the perfect 1-2 punch for how college football is designed today. #GBR

I’m sure Ruhle spoke with Chief and impressed on him that if it doesn’t work out he has a home here at Nebraska and can always come back. That’s the kind of coach Ruhle is . He instills that family culture in his approach to recruiting. Great coach ….

I honestly dont think most of those defensive spots have "starters" unless its the rock solid guys like Ty, Nash, Gifford. Seems like last year EDGE, JACK, ILB, and DBs rotated pretty heavily, so i dont think its really a big deal Borders is leaving. Another thing that recently came out about him this morning is that he wants to he a social media influencer when he graduates, and Rhule let him know behind the scenes that Nebraska probably isnt a great environment if he wants to pursue that, that he could succeed in a bigger market, somewhere like LA for example. There's kind of a bright side though, which is it just opens the door for someone really talented like Umanmielen to play more with guys like Sherman, Noonan, etc playing more as well. LBs also have a super solid rotation. Bullock, Gbayor, Wright, then you have the emerging Shavers, Rogers, and some of the walkons have got hyped a bit too. Thats a really solid 3 deep when they only run 2 out there plus a JACK most of the time in the 3-3-5. That DB room though scares me as much as it does you. Outside of Singleton, Buford, Gifford, and Hill, there's hella question marks. Now with the Blye Hill thing, its been confirmed on a couple of the sites + Vincent Shavers dad said that its a 4-6 week estimated recovery. There's no guarantee he comes back in time for fall though bc of possible setbacks but still its not super bad like some think. Dbell though not as fortunate. Likely season ender. If it isnt, he'll get 4 games max. Scholarship wise, I think we probably see more entries this weekend, and then behind the scenes, some of the previous walkons go back on a walk on deal. You can also put any transfer additions on a PWO type deal, as well as incoming 2024 recruits. Dont think we ever actually find out who's on what type of deal though, as info like that doesnt tend to get out. All i know is the staff has it under control

I feel Butler has paid his dues he should start we need somebody that can get to the QB I expect him to get more than five sacks if he gets significant playing time which he deserves if he puts in the work.

Borders is the only real loss so far. I sure hope Butler stays. You’re right about Alvano. He was unbelievable in state championship game. Looked nothing like that last year. Hope Rhule sees this video. Great analysis, Wilson!

Re Doss we lose a lot after this year at least five not included injuries Doss should get playing time a good chance to compete next year. Butler will get extensive playing time. Can’t lose him. Blye will be back from injury before end of season,Tristan it’s all about confidence. Have him see a shrink.
