I’m from the New York , New Jersey area and Rutgers was a good road team last year.

No opponent will be underestimated Coach Rhule is very well aware.

Nebraska’s ability to improve their past rush and put constant pressure on the opposing teams quarterback is key for the defense. Only way to move the ball on the Huskers will be through the air. The cornhuskers face a few teams that have good offensive lines when it comes to past protection and good passing quarterbacks. Illinois and Purdue come to mind.

All those players coming back instead of opting for the draft or portal is a credit to the culture Coach Rhule is creating at Nebraska.

@@jesusrivera743 yes and no. To be honest the roster wasn't that great last season. Not really NFL caliber player's and other schools didn't want them. As the talent level goes up the NFL will be a bigger option. Other school's will want Nebraskas players then will see

There will be no underestimated games. Rutgers is a good team and will get the same respect as everyone else. Huskers 7-0!!

Siano is an excellent coach and stepped up Rutgers recruiting the last few year. New Jersey has very good high school football players.

When the Big 10 expanded everyone was doing the math wrong on scheduling. The prevailing narrative was “uh oh Big 10 west teams, you’re in for it now”. But with the four new teams it seems more like most teams get a Big 10 West style schedule. One of the big boys, two if you’re unlucky that year. Michigan State is the only team playing Ohio State, Michigan, and Oregon this year.
