Great mobile projector, lazer is the way to go. And Google TV with built-in chromecast makes it a very practical device. Good stuff, hopefully over time it will be more affordable

Good, comprehensive review. Thank you. Three questions: 1) Can you move videos from an attached USB thumbdrive to internal storage so you can use the USB-C port for extended power? 2) Will it play .mkv files as well as mp4, etc.? 3) Similar to Dan Webster's question, can you point it up at the ceiling and play without it getting too hot (watching while lying down)?

Hey, thanks for the kind words, Greg. 1. Yes, but it has to be a thumbdrive that you format on the device first. I feel that the way Android TV forces you to use USB flash is not that nice and avoid that feature myself. 2. Yes, totally. You can run different players, VLC and MX player are among my favorites. 3. I would use a tripod for that purpose so that there's a bit of space between the projector and the ground.

I'm the same as you, Alan. I've pre ordered it viathe voucher scheme. I've had all the previous nebula capsules but always felt a bit let down by none of them being FHD and also the brightness wasn't up to scratch. Hopefully this one is different. I'm a tad disappointed I'll need an adapter to power my roku or firestick from the device.

Be ware of service. My Usb-C was broken and nobody from nebula team helps me. They told me that I have to buy new device, and didn't sell me the broken part. Its a first time when i see this kind of support.

Amazing! and I love ANKER a few questions #1 - Does it work upside down (if suspended from a ceiling) #2 - LOVE that autofocus... blew me away actually... With that in mind, how close and 'angled' can you get? Can you move 2 feet away and angle so it autocorrects?

Yes, there is a setting where you can set it to normal (right side up) or ceiling (upside down). You can also mirror the image if you are projecting from the backside of something.

The update removed the aux port feature when on Bluetooth mode, ruining my setup, now i need a 2.1 with Bluetooth 😂 Mine came with Netflix, inside the nebula app, don't delete as you won't be able to download Netflix from the play store Love ot because i can go to the kitchen, bedroom, studio, office,. living room, hasslefree. The latency when gaming through hdmi or wireless display is horrendous, unless playing Google games loaded into the projector Apple is really missing out on a rising market of mobile people.

I have no idea what this video is about other than a brief overview at best. Also, USB-C can handle hubs too. Maybe you could've demonstrated that function.

Good to hear that the Capsule III is better than the first one. Capsule 1 is awful. Works fine at 2/3 feet from the wall, but any further away its grainy and dark. Netflix does not work on the first generation one with the recent software update.

The Netflix thing is not fine with Capsule 3 either. At least - not anymore :( As for brightness - this is typical for smaller projectors, they don't have the powerful lamps that bigger projectors have

Great review!! I'm looking for a powerful portable projector to take with me on travels and this seems to be coming out ahead. I have a few questions: - No review has mentioned being able to charge it with a powerbank (I have an Anker 26800mAh one) I assume it can be charged with that / extend battery life during watching? - Do you know if it's possible to use a usb-c splitter on the port to deliver both power & flash / peripherals?

Yeah, you can charge with a power bank and yeah, the trick with the splitter cable works too.

Ok, I just got this projector. I can say I'm not that happy about it out of the box. The saturation is to much and the dark is to dark. Notice I didn't say black is to black here. Everything seems to project darker than the source material does on any other device. Ive only played with it a little bit but it's going to require a lot more testing. I can say the lumens are not good for any daytime/lights on viewing. I have an optoma with 3000 ansi lumens and that sucker is perfectly watchable in full light. T^his actually may be my issue with the thing being to dark in general. Even cranking the brightness to 100 does not make a big difference from the default 40 it trys to use. Again though, lots more testing to do be done.

Hey Darren, thanks for the comment. I can also confirm that the difference between 40 and 100% is not that big... But in my case - when compared to devices up to 1000 lumens, it does great.

Yes, it can be done. However - you need to first format the drive via the Android TV menus.

First of all-you talk too fast. The trend is world wide stress, and you are backing it up. A much better projector in the same price range is Epson EF-12, which I have myself! 1000 Ansi lumen places Capsule 3 among children toys!
