Fantastic tutorial! I'd be lost in Form if I hadn't seen your Dubstep Guns tutorial a few weeks back (Late to the punch, I know :P ) - but since then, I've been using it in all sorts of projects. I really appreciate the time you put into these videos!

Great tutorial! However the final result i get is nothing like the preview you show. Yours looks so much better! Would be great if you could do another tutorial on this that actually ends up looking like the one you created. Thanks
@CreativeDojo10 жыл бұрын
It's all about tweaking. The final preview was made exactly the same way shown in the tutorial, only I spent days on the final demo and 20 minutes in the tutorial. Which one is going to look better? The techniques are exactly the same.

When I import the .obj file, it doesn't position in the area you have in the tutorial. It also doesn't display unless I uncheck Normalize. It's positioned in the upper left and about 75% off screen. Form 2.2 and AE CC 2017. Can't seem to get it to the center of the comp.

Thank you very much VinhSon for another amazing tutorial! I had tried your other tutorial which already produced amazing nebulas and galaxies ( using Form with NASA images with layer maps - Color & Alpha and Displacement) and now I am very eager to try this new method! Tonight!!! :) Vraiment, Merci beaucoup !!!!

Would love to see this updated for today's versions of all the plugins. Did this years ago and doing it again now with the new build is a bit different. And there's more that can be done, too!

The new Trapcode systems are kinda confusing, but yeah I can look into it! It would definitely be more efficient!

@@CreativeDojo they are way more confusing! Tao is crazy, for example, but way better for star fields IMHO

I'm getting a glitch now having finished that after the first frame the galaxy is all over the place. I have double checked and there is no keyframe out of place. Why is this happening? It's like it expands in a huge way after frame one.

How about animating the Galaxy rotating. If I try to rotate the master null on the Y rotation, but it causes everything to pivot funny. Suggestions?

Try orbiting the camera around the galaxy instead of rotating the galaxy itself, might look better.

Hello, can Element 3D combine trapcode form as (search The Satellite Year - "A Campus: A Heart: A Star" in youtube) and made the floating rocks glow in 1: 57 its made with element 3d . maybe use trapcode form? Dont know how to do it. Maybe you can make a tutorial please, and thanks all of your tutorials.

If i copypaste a particle layer, like in the tutorial, the particles/effects do not show up at all. PLease help.
@GreatStyleZ5 жыл бұрын
I might be a bit late, but i had the problem too. When i duplicate the form solids it wont safe the obj and layer map information like in the video - so nothing shows up like you said. You have to link the obj file and the color map again to the form effect.

I've only got a question! At 15:12 when you say set the affect Opacity from the fractal field to zero, on your tutorial you still the misty energy. But when i change it to zero it changes to black there is nothing there. I cant figure out how to fix this??
@AngelLuvcheto9 жыл бұрын
The same with me ,but instead of zero i put a value of 0.2 and it worked out :)
@VRMediaNis9 жыл бұрын
Angel Luvcheto Same here, but ether 0. or 0.2 or anything else is working, its not changing anything, it stays like splat and nothing changes, i had to lower the opacity of particles itself to get some similar result, but its not the same...

+deffectrix Very late and just speculating but it might be that your monitor is darker? Try increasing it's brightness and see it changes... Would any of this be affected by the whole 0-255 vs 16-235 thing? Hmnnn

You must have not installed a plugin that enables AE to recognize OBJ files. Try re-installing Form.

VinhSon Nguyen i also have the same problem and ive reinstalled them but it still doesn't work pls help.
@CreativeDojo10 жыл бұрын
Either you guys are running a cracked/broken version of Form 2, or there is a serious problem with the installer because Form 2 installs those plugins AUTOMATICALLY. Contact Red Giant support for help on this.

never mind it worked, i just remembered that an error message came up whilst installing the plugin because it was broken. redownloaded and install now it works thank for the replay and refrshing my memory! and thank you for bringing us such great tutorials!
