Thanks man, now I finally got it. Was looking exactly for this, so helpful!

what a fantastic tutorial! thank you so much. so helpful. I feel like Neo in the Matrix, just downloaded how to be a jujitsu with creating nebulas in 7:12. thank you.

Crazy! You're amazing, guys. Thank you for your work!

Super lesson! You have a glow point interacting with clouds, but I can't do that. There is no influence of the point of light on the cloud. What's wrong? Clouds do not react to light in any way

Try to increase light falloff radius and light intensity. And make sure the light is inside the cloud.

why Render steps jittering enabled is not showing up for me ?

Probably you need to Purge cache in AE

Wow! Very beautiful. It looks like you've nailed the shapes and densities we see in images of nebulas and other gas cloud structures. I like that there's a lot of control - perhaps too much (I suggest you include presets for the lazy among us), and that everything is animatable. However, I'm gonna be 'that guy' for just a minute and point out that on a human time scale, nebulas don't change. The stars you can enable (also VERY nice!) are in reality many light years apart. Nebulas are the glowing, gaseous remnants of explosions. Ironically, were we to 'enter ' a nebula, it would probably be no denser than our own atmosphere around us. But at the size they are, and from our perspective, they seem dense and impenetrable. The universe is a big place. This looks like it may be a good alternative to rendering volumes in 3D; faster to set up, render and with more immediate control, and easier to art-direct. Niice!

Thank you! Presets is already implemented.

but what if you want to show a timelapse of the formation of a nebula? reality from which perspective? why assume a human time scale? :)

hello, when I set to extrude, everything goes black?

Hello, is this happens with other default settings?

@@irrealix hello, I finally got it to work but not sure how exactly. I think I had black and white reversed for the matte or my depth for z wasn't enough maybe. I think some of the presets it wasn't working, but I'll experiment again some more and try to replicate it again. Thanks for the response
