Nebulossa was formed in 2018 when the romantic couple decided to form a musical group. The name of the group alludes to nebulae because on a trip to Port Ainé they went to an astronomical observatory where they were constantly mentioned. Bas, 56, and Mark Dasousa, 49, are married, they have two children, one 23 years old and the other 11, and a dog. They generate income through a hair salon. But also, for years, they have had a great passion for music, they don't have a record label or set designers, they do what they can with what they have. They showed up at the Benidorm Fest with the intention of being able to reach the final and for people to know them and know about them, they never thought about being able to get here and go to Eurovision. They bring a song that has clear intentions, it has a very direct, empowering and danceable message, they have developed the feminist message that Zorra brings. A hymn to empowerment, which refers to feminine vindication and the resignification of a word that is usually used with pejorative overtones.

No está mal la música, pegadiza y ochentera, aunque la calidad vocal sea muy limitada, pero por otro lado para mí, más que un himno feminista es un himno al mal gusto, un himno misógino y una canción decadente y desubicada tanto en el tiempo como en el lugar, y por tanto retrógrada a más no poder. A nadie la llaman zorra desde hace al menos 20 años por hacer cosas normales, solo por comportamientos que lo justifiquen. De hecho esta canción ha sido criticada por algunas asociaciones feministas, y ha supuesto la dimisión de la delegada de Igualdad, Diversidad e Inclusión de RTVE, Montserrat Boix, que presentó su dimisión tras la elección de la canción Zorra. Una canción además presentada con esas luces rojas de ambiente de prostíbulo que poco dignifican a la mujer. Por cierto, es triste que la gente vea en esta mujer y similares un ejemplo de empoderamiento, que no es otra cosa más que alguien externo o ajeno a una persona o colectivo le dote u otorgue un poder que no tiene por sí mismo debido a su situación de debilidad y vulnerabilidad. Yo prefiero mujeres valientes y poderosas, que tienen el poder por si mismas, ya que es algo innato en ellas y que por tanto ese poder es propio y emana de ellas mismas. Además se define como una canción feminista acusando al machismo de ese término, es decir, se acusa a los hombres cuando yo este "insulto" a las mujeres precisamente se lo he oído siempre, y sin duda mucho más, a las propias mujeres. Son las mujeres las que más se lo dicen a otras mujeres, cuando otra les cae mal, cuando la tienen envidia, por celos cuando salen con su ex, y hasta por rivalidades laborales. Por cierto, también mucha gente habla de machismo por el significado despectivo en una de las acepciones de esta palabra en femenino que no tiene el masculino, pero olvidan otros términos masculinos con significados despectivos para el hombre que no tiene en su género femenino, como son zángano, mariposón, cabrito o cabrón. Y musicalmente no es mas que un tema pegadizo, sin grandes alardes técnicos, con una voz carente de calidad y técnica, aunque nada sorprende en una sociedad en que las nuevas generaciones se mueren por el reggaeton. It’s very telling that the song left us all speechless the first time we heard it - but with a big smile on our face, some giggles & growing shrieks of laughter and applause at the end. Standing in front of the screen in disbelief. Zorra is so unexpected, such a wild card. This is an anthem. A vindication. Somehow in the line of Gloria Gaynor’s “ I will survive” ,with all due respect to goddess Gloria, Maria Bass and her husband Mark - Nebulossa- vindicate women’s rights, individual freedom, older people, also the LGTB community.. and as her husband Mark pointed out, also men who don’t conform to what the “ norm” expects of them . Madonna, Sam Elliott also come to mind, but with a playful Spanish twist. Totally Almodovar of the 80’s and 90’s style Zorra 🦊🙌🙌🙌 Maria is 55 y. o. now, a Mother, a Queen , a total Diva. She has angel.. she has “it”. She manages to deliver such a powerful - and sometimes too painful- message with sweetness, warmth, and that “ you can’t hurt me anymore. I’m past caring” vibe. Uplifting. And the song is not only autobiographical, but means to represent all people who’ve had to put up with a lot of BS in their lives and survived to be true to themselves and be happy 💪 there’s no age for living one’s dream. Kudos to Nebulossa. They’re winners already, people love them, love the rhythm & the message . We’ve sent great voices to Eurovision before and ended up in the last places. So who cares anymore 😁 Those male dancers: we’re used to seeing scantily dressed ladies everywhere, but these dancers raise eyebrows .. so the fact that this time it’s male dancers is very much to the point 👌

El concepto zorra en el contexto de la canción no significa puta. Está usado de forma irónica. De manera que hay que asumir el nuevo significado connotativo que adquiere en el contexto de la canción. Quien no alcanza a ver eso, es como cuando nos ponían comentarios de texto en el bachillerato y no todos veían más allá de las líneas escritas y suspendían el examen.

Esta mujer ha escrito esta canción por como lo ha vivido en su vida . Son sus vivencias y aunque tú o muchos no estéis de acuerdo ella sí. Well, how should I start? The song works really well in a gay club late at night, but in Eurovision, I believe it will struggle to earn points. The vocals aren't the very best either, and the whole thing feels a bit flat and sluggish. It might have worked well in the early '90s, but unfortunately, I think Spain will once again end up near the bottom of the results. The thing is that Spain have sent so many different songs throughout the years with amazing voices, sarcastic lyrics or trying to fit in the “Eurovision standards” and we always are in the bottom of the list… So I think this year we are less than worried about score and we are proud about the message and the song (it’s becoming a true hit here). De hecho esta canción ha sido criticada por algunas asociaciones feministas, y ha supuesto la dimisión de la delegada de Igualdad, Diversidad e Inclusión de RTVE, Montserrat Boix, que presentó su dimisión tras la elección de la canción Zorra. Una canción además presentada con esas luces rojas de ambiente de prostíbulo que poco dignifican a la mujer. Por cierto, es triste que la gente vea en esta mujer y similares un ejemplo de empoderamiento, que no es otra cosa más que alguien externo o ajeno a una persona o colectivo le dote u otorgue un poder que no tiene por sí mismo debido a su situación de debilidad y vulnerabilidad. Yo prefiero mujeres valientes y poderosas, que tienen el poder por si mismas, ya que es algo innato en ellas y que por tanto ese poder es propio y emana de ellas mismas. Además se define como una canción feminista acusando al machismo de ese término, es decir, se acusa a los hombres cuando yo este "insulto" a las mujeres precisamente se lo he oído siempre, y sin duda mucho más, a las propias mujeres. Son las mujeres las que más se lo dicen a otras mujeres, cuando otra les cae mal, cuando la tienen envidia, por celos cuando salen con su ex, y hasta por rivalidades laborales. Por cierto, también mucha gente habla de machismo por el significado despectivo en una de las acepciones de esta palabra en femenino que no tiene el masculino, pero olvidan otros términos masculinos con significados despectivos para el hombre que no tiene en su género femenino, como son zángano, mariposón, cabrito o cabrón. Y musicalmente no es mas que un tema pegadizo, sin grandes alardes técnicos, con una voz carente de calidad y técnica, aunque nada sorprende en una sociedad en que las nuevas generaciones se mueren por el reggaeton.
