I am enjoying watching your "adventures". Thanks for sharing. About a new motor home… I think you should not be afraid of buying something new. If the offer is good than waiting should not be a problem. Time goes fast and having something new is totally different story/feeling/relation. There is no need to change the name… it’s not about a motor home but about two of you… Good luck!

Hi Michael 👋🏻 Thank you so much, you are welcome and lovely to have you along with us on them. Thank you for that advice, we are continuously looking a new ones, with layouts we like and also secondhand ones to try and get the best deal for our money but like you say that might still be with a new one. Thank you for your kind words, we do appreciate them - every time I think about us giving up Indie I get very sad 🙁 Do you have a motorhome yourself? We’re just back from our second European adventure and loved it so much, really didn’t want to come home - lots of videos to follow 😍 Amanda & Mark x

Lovely to meet you both at last! Its a bit of a minefield isn’t it! We feel like we didn’t even see half of the Motorhomes there - roll on October 😂. We couldn’t get in to another National Trust car park yesterday so goodness knows what it would be like getting around with an even bigger van - might have to go smaller 😂 We wil keep looking and we’re sure we will all know when the right one comes along for us both. Not long til we’re both off on our Easter adventures - thanks for watching and see you both soon too 😍 Mark & Amanda x

Great vlog, thanks both, we chose our new van at that show but are coming down to a Globecar Summit 640 from a Swift Kontiki sport 597. Van size with the garage, fixed bed at the back. All the best for now, Tony and Julie.
@AdventureswithAmandaandMark Жыл бұрын
Oh cool! Did you find the Kontiki too big or did you just want something a bit different? We got a good idea of what we liked when we visited the show and just really enjoy visiting it - can’t wait to go in October this year as we’ve only been in February so far. Will you go again?

@@AdventureswithAmandaandMark I love the van to be honest, we’ve just done nearly 3 weeks driving around French roads and villages and no problems at all. To big for Julie to drive comfortably though. I’ve got the van listed for sale and have a deposit down on the new one. Having a garage when you take lots of toys is the best. Beer and wine fridge in the back essential too lol. Tony and Julie

@@tonyblundal5763 Ooh whereabouts in France have you been? Our friends are over there now on their first van trip in the Pyrenees but travelling up towards Brittany tomoz. We will actually have a video out in a couple of weeks or so because we have actually said goodbye to Indie and have a new motorhome with a big garage especially for that reason! We want to keep the bikes safe! Hope that doesn’t stop you following us though 😂

@@AdventureswithAmandaandMark not south yet, but recently the Dordogne, Ile de re, Mont San Michelle, all over Normandy, then popping up to Dunkirk, followed by Belgium and then into the Netherlands’s for a day or so. Then unfortunately back home. Got back just over two weeks ago. Off to Spain in October, cannot wait.

@@tonyblundal5763 Awhh lovely, I wanted us to go to Ile de Re on our way back to Roscoff but the weather made me change our minds. We did Mont St Michel last year on our Wedding Anniversary and loved it. Sounds like an epic adventure - we really can’t wait to be able to travel for longer so we can visit all of these places 😍

Just watched your video. We have ordered a Swift voyager for delivery in September, Trading in our Coachman VIP Caravan. You bet it's scary. Hate waiting I want it now. I get to have doubts second and third thoughts not happy. Best to take early delivery then you can get on with it. Good luck.and glad you have confirmed I am not the only one to have the jitters. 😀😃🤐

Hi Kevin, oh thats so exciting for you but again such a long time to wait! I did hear that some motorhomes/caravans bought at the October show last year weren’t going to be delivered until this December!! When we bought our Motorhome Indie (after looking for a very long time) we saw her online on the Friday, made a reservation payment on the Sunday and went and saw her a couple of days later and knew she was the one! It took a couple of weeks to get her due to HAB checks etc but yeah all pretty quick but she was secondhand (although pretty much like new). Will you still be able to use your old caravan until the new one arrives? Thank you for watching 😍 Mark & Amanda

@@AdventureswithAmandaandMark Hi. Well I heard the same went to dlr to check if my bike would fit into the garage. On arrival the sales person told me he had 2 arriving in July at the now prices. So like a fool signed up. Going this morning to have a further look around and plan how to use better. They are now advertising same van @an increase of £3500. Eek 😃

We ordered an Adria Compact Supreme DL back in September 2021. It eventually arrived just before the end of November 2022 but because of various reasons we did not take delivery of it until January 2023. It was a very long wait but it was well worth it. We have only been away a couple of times in it so far and, as usual with a new vehicle, there were one or two things that needed to be attended to. They have been done apart from one of the touch-sensitive interior lights which needs to be replaced and had to be ordered from Adria. I noticed in your video tht you looked into the large cuboards under the beds but, unless someone points it out to you, you wouldn't have realised that those doors can slide away into the cuboard when you have opened them fully at a rightangle from their closed position. This makes it much easier to put things into or get things out of those cuboards. If you want any other information just let me know.😊

Hi Colin, oh wow thats fantastic it was a really great motorhome - shame you had to wait that long but I bet you will have loads of amazing trips in it now that you have it. Any plans to go abroad? Thanks for letting us know about the cupboards under the bed, thats really interesting. We haven’t stopped looking at new/used motorhomes since we got back from the Show! We can’t decide whether to get one now as we would like the garage storage for our bikes and the better bed layout or to wait and look at even bigger ones with more storage and greater payload as we are thinking about living in one full time - decisions, decision! Thank you for watching and commenting, we really appreciate it - Mark & Amanda 😍

@@AdventureswithAmandaandMark Hi Mark & Amanda, we have no plans to go abroad with it this year but it is quite likely that we will next year. Although we are both well through our 70's this is our first motorhome. We had 39 years of caravanning and sold our last caravan in 2013. Since then we have done quite a number of cruises but now that Covid is here we don't want to ever get stuck on a cruise ship because someone has picked up Covid and brought it onboard. I don't want to go back to towing again so we decided to get a motorhome instead. I think that your thoughts of getting a bigger one with more payload might be better for you if you are contemplating living in it. I am now restricted to 3500kg for driving now as I am over 70 and to continue to have the other category on my licence I have to get my doctor to complete a fitness form and my optician to complete a form and, because I suffered a heart attack 12 years ago I have to have a stress test at the hospital. I am perfectly fit now but I can't be bothered to go through all that. Because I ordered my van in 2021 I have bought it at the price at that time. Since then the basic price of the Compact Supreme DL has increased by over £16000. You mentioned your reluctance to buy new because of the huge depreciation when you drive it off the forecourt. That is true for cars, usually 25 to 30% but in my case with the motorhome, I could sell it for around £10,000 more than I paid for it because of the shorage of new motorhomes from all manufacturers at the moment. That probably won't last for ever but at the moment that's the way it is. You happenned to say in the video that any new motorhome that you buy will be your forever one. If that is the case then any immediate depreciation that it may have when you take delivery of it is rather irrelevant as you would not be selling it for many years. By that time the rate of depreciation will have slowed down considerably and indeed may even reverse slightly as it has done for many 15 to 20 year old units. That's just another thing to consider. Depending on what you can afford to get, the Adria Coral Supreme DL is a sort of bigger version of the Compact Supreme. The finish inside is very much like the Compact but it is a bit wider and longer. Cheers Colin & Vivien

@@colinswindell Hi to you both 😊 Wow what a great age to be starting your motorhome adventures and 39 years of Caravanning!! You’ve probably been to so many places?! Do you have a favourite? My parents used to own caravans so I grew up Caravanning and camping and think that has stayed with me and having Indie has just enabled us to do get out and about so much - our trip to the Pyrenees last year was amazing but the year before we went to Scotland twice to visit my family and we did the NC500 where the scenery and beaches were just so unexpected. We probably would never have done that if we didn’t have a motorhome. We will keep looking, Mark shows me different ones every day 😂 That’s such a big increase though isn’t it and we’ve seen that as before we got Indie we would go and look at similar ones and they were about £53,000 new and now they are about £65,000-£67,000. The good thing was that one of the dealers did offer us more for her than what we paid! We will take a look at the Coral and some full timers also have the Sonic but think thats even bigger again! P.S. Don’t know if you have seen our cruise videos but we love cruises too but completely understand why you’d want to avoid them from now on. We actually have two booked for later this year - we did two last year after a gap of 3 years due to covid - we had really missed them! We hope you both have some amazing adventures and maybe we’ll bump into you somewhere along the way 😍 Amanda & Mark

We have only ever bought brand new, all our caravans and our motorhome…and to me the motorhome name should change…but that’s a whole channel name change for you though…so that would have to be something that only you can decide 😍xx

Its so scary! We’ve never bought anything new really - not for that amount of money anyway. Mark hasn’t stopped looking at secondhand ones all week 😂 We love Indie and honestly it might break my heart to say goodbye but I think you’re right, a new one would need a new name so a new channel name it would have to be …….. we have been thinking about that all week too!

Hi Alan, we think you’re right. Indie was pretty much new as although she was 4 years old she’d only had one owner who hadn’t been able to use her for a year and she had done less than 3000 miles. I think we just need to decide what length and layout is going to work for us for our future plans. Until then we are off for some Adventures with Indie to Spain in a few weeks time. Thanks for watching - Mark & Amanda 😍
