NECA GREMLINS series 1 & 2! GIZMO STRIPE MOHAWK GEORGE LENNY DAFFY SDCC

This is a short video review of my Neca Gremlins figures from series 1 & 2 as well as some older Neca Gremlins figures, the SDCC 2011 exclusive Gizmo, and the electronic singing Gizmo. I think Neca did an amazing job with these figures that stand between 4" and 6" tall. Included in this video are Gizmo, Combat Gizmo, Daffy, Mohawk, Lenny, George, Stripe, Brown Gremlin, Phantom, Flasher, and regular Gremlin.

Yeah, I'm still missing maybe one or two of the characters, but I'm happy to have most of them here! Neca really did a fine job with them and they bring back a lot of good memories from around 1984! I think you can still get most of them like series 1 & 2 if you looked around! Some of my fav X-mas films other than Gremlins are A Christmas Story, It's a Wonderful Life, and Jingle All The Way with Schwarzenegger! LOL!

No, unfortunately I don't own any of the life sized items. I always wanted a 1:1 Gizmo with fur and all, but pieces I've seen were either too expensive or not of the quality I was after. I like a lot of the stuff in your collection. I remember watching your Bigfoot statue video by Sideshow as that was a piece I was considering. The Grey bust you got was really cool! I'd love that piece too! Awesome stuff! Do a collection video of all your stuff someday! :-)

Yeah, I passed on it when I had the chance, so I'll have to keep an eye out for one on ebay or something. I recently picked up the Lightning Gremlin which was on sale, but still not worth it in my opinion as it's just a flat piece of plastic pieces. It should've been more of an extra piece than a separate figure. Anyhow, I hope they continue this line with more characters!

Yeah, I know I'm missing the Brain Gremlin. I never liked him, but I guess I need to pick him up to complete the collection. I'm not sure about that Lightning one either. He looks quite dull and not worth the money, but again, I guess to complete the collection he would be necessary. I'm not sure if series 2 is at TRU yet. I haven't been to one in months! I got mine at my local comic shop! :-)

Beautiful collection! I really want the regular Stripe and Flasher. I currently have Spider Mohawk and love him to bits. I've got the Stripe head knocker, which actually has a really nice sculpt and paint job. I just find it so hard to get some of the regular figures like you have here. All of them except for Lenny either seem to be impossible to find or extremely pricey due to availability. Congrats on your collection though!

I was lucky enough to start collecting these when they started coming out, but I was missing I think it was the Brain Gremlin for awhile and I had to find him on ebay and pay a little more for him. I've since tried to be on top of things and buy them as soon as the new series comes out. I'm looking forward to future releases such as the Bat Gremlin, Greta Gremlin, and Vegetable Gremlin, etc

I like the Brain Gremlin best, my favorite thing that comes with that figure is the genetic sunblock syringe, genetic sunblock is just what Gizmo needs to be immune to bright lights, especially sunlight.

I still need the Brain Gremlin, but I'm not sure if I'll bother with the Lightning Gremlin. Looks cheap like you said. They should have priced that super low or included it as a bonus figure as it just doesn't look like it should be sold the way it is. I don't mind the eyeball feature, but I think they made Gizmo's irises to big as you can barely see the whites of his eyes on mine. I think the sculpt is at least improved over the older version with a little more articulation. :-)

very cool. glad to see that they have finally released series 2. I'm only getting the mogwais, can't be bothered with the gremlins. Don't like the eyeball feature on them at all though. It's very hard to get them lined up properly. The only one it works for is Daffy - and maybe George cos you can hardly see his eyes! Don't waste your money on Lightning Gremlin. You're funny, bro! You're taste is either you really like it or hate it. For me, I like most things as I will find something to appreciate about it, even in crap films, etc. I actually liked Gremlins when it came out. I was 14 and it was cool at the time. I wanted a Mogwai for myself! Gremlins 2 was a major let down as they went less with the horror and more with the campy comedy! But it did have some great creature designs and okay effects for the time. Terrible terrible story though!

Yeah, I get these figures and toys to enjoy and have fun with! They're also great reference material for doing my art, etc. There's no enjoyment in keeping them in their boxes. As long as you keep them in great condition, you can still resell them in the future just fine if that is your concern, but at least you fully enjoyed them as well!

managed to get two mogwai's today from a local market stall (that is sadly having to close down so i got them before they go) i got series 1 George and Series 3 Haskins, already had Daffy in both mogwai and gremlin forms, obviously the one i reeeeeeally want is Gizmo but just cant find him anywhere, i might have to start ebaying to get him.

I don't think the prices for the Mogwais have gone up too much, so maybe ebay would be a fairly nice place to start hunting.
