I have waited a lifetime for a figure like this and neca have not let me down its the perfect replication of Rick Backers amazing creation. the articulation is amazing and the paint apps are outstanding.........its a fantastic figure !!!

My sentiment as well. This is definitely one of those dream figures from the past few decades. Besides The Howling, I'd also _loooove_ a Bram Stoker's Dracula Werewolf. And the one from Silver Bullet, new Dog Soldiers figures, the wolf from The Never Ending Story, the wolfman from Monster Squad (well all of 'em). Yeah, pretty much any werewolf or wolf-like character in any movie ever.

This is one of my favorite figures ever. The second Neca announced this big guy I’ve been dying to get it. I got it yes and I haven’t been able to put him down. I’m going to track down a second so I can have an open and closed mouth for both bloody and clean.

He looks good but I think the proportions are a tad off. If you look at the movie and stills, he is more muscular. This one looks a bit on the svelt/skinnier side. At least we got a figure.

I'm not sure what the proper size of the werewolf should be . It seems to vary between the one at the end of the first transformation which looks thinner and a bit more man sized to the one running through London at the end. But like you say at least we got one 👍

I like the lankier limb proportions, it really sets it apart from other werewolf designs that usually have a more muscular build. Rick Baker made a good choice when he didn't go the easy route when it came to the werewolf design.

I'm going to order this one for myself this upcoming Christmas, that's for sure! I just love the level of detail it has, which is why NECA are the best makers for this type of stuff because they're almost always very detailed. Likewise, I do wish it actually had an articulated jaw joint, but that's just a minor downside compared to the figure as a whole.

MAFEX do the Nazi demons, albeit, one body and the four different heads. I doubt the scale would match compared to this wolf ie; it will be much smaller alongside the werewolf. Edit: It was the Neca I saw, not the Mafex. It was just the difference in scale that made me think it was Mafex. Sorry for the initial misinformation

Just got the dispatch confirmation for this figure and the Nightmare Demon, this figure is arriving next Saturday for me. Cool thing about that is my local cinema on the 30th-31st is doing a Halloween horror film marathon, which includes this film. I'll wait till I have it in hand, but my one nitpick I already have is I wish the blood on the open mouth head was more vibrant like it was in the film, it's so striking and has that overly vibrant/unrealistic 80's look to it which I love, and I can't quite tell if they pulled it off with this figure. Still, I'm super excited to be getting it.

The demon cost me £37.19 with 6.20 of that been tax and 5.13 shipping. And the werewolf was £45 with 7.50 taxa did 7.81 shipping. The tax has spoiled aliexpress a bit it used to bea lot cheaper without it but I need these figures a bit early so I can review them here so I don't mind so much. People like retro reviews so you could review your collection 👍

It was going to have a movable jaw but I think the two heads is a better way of doing it means there are no odd brakes in the sculpt. It's it black panthers on Dartmoor or killer pony's ??!?! He will take up a bit of shelf space but I thin he should be a sturdy figure. I wake up in the night to falling figures or come home and notice a gap and its all ways the usual suspects. This thing is never going to look great without soft goods fur/hair. I’d gladly pay any price for that than $40 for a hunk of plastic. I’ve got problems with the snout length, too, but I’m not saying it’s a bad figure. It’s priced great if you like it and I’m happy that AWiL is getting love. Ultimately, I’d be first in line for a more accurate one with soft fur, but not hating as I know some will absolutely love it. I’m an owner but gave it to my niece.

@@Returnoftherocketman I completely agree as well as the Villagers and the Doctor. I would love to see the nurse too but I can't decide if I'd want her in the nurses outfit or in her regular clothes. Either way I just hope we see more. And I know this is a bit off topic but I would love to see more The Thing figures as well. I build and paint model kits of my favorite movie monsters and stuff so I have kind of been a special effects artist. I sold a Christopher Lee life-size dracula bust a few years ago to someone in California. I need to start doing them again

I would love some monster squad figures its one of my favorite movies and such great designs for the monsters !! The mummy in the closest always makes me laugh. I am a bit disappointed in the neca mummy you don't really see him like that for long in the movie he's more wrapped up in the sequels and played by other actors

I'm guessing we will be getting bride of Frankenstein, maybe doctor Frankenstein, Igor, and of course the Creature from the black lagoon. But I'd like them to make some monstrous version of a vampire and jekyll/Hyde would be cool but idk which versions would be best I'm not too familiar

I just want some of the lesser made universal monster figures. I would like some of the sequel versions of Frankenstein and the mummy and like you said an igor and a Renfild would be great ! Its odd to think universal never did Jekyll/Hyde i think he's in an Abbott and Costello movie

The Kessler werewolf is badass. American Werewolf in London is my favorite werewolf movie. I have a big fascination with werewolves. The sculpt on the 2 heads and body are amazing. I can't wait to get this fellow.❤🐺

What a strange coincidence! Yesterday morning, out of nowhere “A small Guinness should suffice” from me and I chuckled to myself about that Dr Hirsch sound bite. My spouse didn’t get it. Anyways it led to us watching the film together last night. One of my favourite films ever. Inspired by this I ordered this figure. It is now sold out on that site (relating to a rainforest). I just thought it was old stock and then I watched this and saw that it was only uploaded three days ago!!! I feel incredibly lucky now. Dr Hirsch, I don’t know why or where you came from but thank you for popping into my psyche so randomly. I owe you that small Guinness 😀

That's a fantastic story ! It's strange the odd things that pop into our heads. I used to play a game with a work mate were we would see how many movie quotes we could fit into a working day without any one noticing.

@@Returnoftherocketman Only folk like us get it but it is fun to play that game with a like minded person in on the joke. My favourite is “Hey! You’re not Rockin’ Ricky Rialto!” When the guy they sent to the meeting has been switched at the last minute without telling me. They just look at me, gone out. It’s Rockin’ Ricky fans in the film but I stand by the adjustment lol. That’s the beauty of growing up with great films. That reminds me, I need a neca gremlin.
