My answer.. YES!! I much prefer a more cartoon accurate gargoyls. The ones I have the mucles are so over the top that it looks strange.

As long as we get Fox's werewolf form and Coyote and the pack and their upgrades I'll be happy. I would love to see these as a cartoon set, that way we can see a comparison of realistic and cartoon

I bought Goliath immediately, followed by Demona and Bronx. I got Hudson and I love him, but on an impulse, I saw Brooklyn and Broadway in Target, and bought them. I have since returned Brooklyn and Broadway, because I am can't stand not having articulated, collapsing wings. Having the caped wings is okay, but ultimately not enough. It can't be either caped, or full-blown flight mode for me. I'll keep the ones I can't return, but my original intention of buying the entire line is done. I am happy Neca went in on this property, but the wing situation is a no-go. Also, the articulation in the knees and ankles on these figures get weak pretty quickly, causing regular shelf dives, and that's without the weight of those silly wings.

There is a newer Gargoyles comics series that is about 6 Issues in and Gargoyles dark ages series just came out with its first issue last week. Pay a visit to your local comic book shop and check them out.

I think this is probably more toon looking then any character they've done so far of Gargoyles. I wouldn't care about them releasing cartoon looking characters, but I'm afraid they'd go whole hog and ignore the line that we're getting now. Yeah that pissed me off about the wings they screwed the pooch on this. The wings are the worst thing on this figure, the way they hinged them, why, why would they completely change the way the wings hinge? I would have like to see a peg and track on the wings so that they wouldn't flop around really cheapens the figure. The claw irks me because whenever I moved the wings I wanted to straighten the claw (?), I can see a lot of people breaking that trying to straighten it out of habit.

Yes! Full on animated style all the way, a smaller scale like Neca's tmnt animated would also be preferable.

I would really love to have a NECA "odin's eye armor" Goliath, a "apocalypse future armor" Broklyn, demona and Lexington, an armored Tailog and at least his hibrid girlfriend, a Coldstone cyborg, a gargoyle Elisa Masa... A lot of posibilities.

Indeed - this is a real good one from the folks over at NECA. I fancy that steel clan, robot-esque aesthetic; it gives the character more real estate to play with (no pun intended despite it being a toy… on the higher end, that is) in the way of paint applications, detail, articulation, etc…. I was hyped for this line but haven't bought a single one yet. The upcoming Lexington looks to be the best and I still may get him but I would love a redo on the line with accurate cartoon aesthetics

I had to cancel my order for these because to be honest... I'm waiting for Xanatos to be released. THEN, I'll go back and get them. Maybe I'll buy four of them but I have a feeling that I may run into them in stores. I love the Neca Gargoyles line. I can't wait to complete the main Gargoyle team and have Elisa :)

Yeah, i'm actually holding off for more screen accurate versions. Don't get me wrong, there current designs are very cool, but they're not the ones i watched, lol.

I guess the licensing terms would dictate if we'll see a toon-look set of figures. Their TMNT license from Playmates is extremely long-lived, probably because it is making both of them a ton of money. I'd love some toon styled Gargoyles but I worry they'd be 5 POA or such like NECA's BTTF cartoon figs.

I wpuld have said Id prefer toon figires, but seeing another company take a stab at a toon accurate Goliath and some Bust statues too I'm really not liking how the toon look coverts to 3d. Tbis style is good enough for me. Now we just need relaxed wings!

Man, I’m still waiting to see your Brooklyn review you haven’t posted it yet lol that said I would be down to buy 13 accurate versions of the gargoyles if they came with the displayable open wings Cuz I feel at this point that’s what this line needs and they’re still not giving it to us. Hopefully they announce something at comicon this week. It’ll make everyone happy as always great review.
