I know he isn’t as monstrous and intimidating as the SUPER7 version. But you have to remember that the cartoon version of Mutagen Man was much more of a sad and tragic character. He was an innocent man whom Shredder and company ruined the life of and even manipulated into doing their bidding. That said, I love both his figure and Ace Duck.

3-4 mousers with Baxter, but with an alternate Barney head, is most likely how they'll do it. I read somewhere that Ace's beaks are swappable.

Seymour Gutts and Ace Duck are a must have in any decent collection. Ace duck was only in the cartoon for like 15 seconds and he’s just an awesome figure. Hopefully they’ll be as plentiful as the ground chucks and wingnuts are.

Ace Duck is another one of those characters that didn't get a lot of screen time but I really loved as a kid because of the figure. So I'm really excited for him. Neca is going deep in this cartoon line

I passed on the preorder on these dudes. Was never really tied to either character. Maybe i can be persuaded if i see them in the wild. Time will tell, although Ace Duck does seem cool out of the package

After the bangers with Groundchuck/Dirtbag & Wingnut/Screwloose they needed a meh set to put out...And that's what we got with Ace/Mutagen. Then they can rise again with a banger like Antrax/Scumbug.

Mutagen Man was always interesting to me as a kid. I remember always making him the ultimate bad guy when I be writing and drawing Ninja Turtles when I was in 2nd grade ever since I saw him on the cartoon series. Yes, a tragic character but very interesting. If you want to see a SUPER tragic version of him, watch the 2012 episode. It was so tragic, even the Turtles were scared of him LOL

I was a huge fan of Mutagan man from the show and toyline. the Mostly the 80's toy line. Metal head/Him/General Tragg were my favorite. But I enjoyed him from the show for what he was. Looking forward to this two pack.

Ace Duck has always been one of my favorites. You can also change out his beaks.

@Nick Dubuisson Only one reviewer I've seen so far knows that. Even if you didn't know, both my sets don't have the beaks pegged in all the way, so at least on my copies it's noticeable. But I've known about it months back when Trevor did that last Ninja Turtles KZbin interview with the Fwoosh, showing off Ace and that feature. I'm always like the last one to find out about things with all the social media posts, but I guess not many ppl have the time to watch any of the interviews. Something I did learn with that one reviewer that knows about the beaks, the belt is removable. It pegs in right behind the ammo pouch. Then the third thing most don't know about is the wings are made to be removable. So essentially you can give them the Playmates _or_ the cartoon look.

As kid who grew up loving the cartoon and playing with the figures as I watched . I'm glad we have NECA and Super7. You get to relive what you wanted your figures to do and you get what was actually on the screen . Why argue that ones better than the other. For me it's the best of both worlds

Ace Duck looks rad; I’d pick him up if he was sold individually. I’d also pick up a few Pizza Monsters but only if NECA releases them with pixelated paint for Turtles in Time.

seen this set in person (as well as the Anthrax and Scumbug set) being a budget collector can be rough. with you on ways to do Mousers. a Human Baxter with 2 mousers and maybe. a 🤔 6 pack of mousers on there own for army building. reminded me of Griff the Griffon gargoyle that shows up later in Gargoyles on the idea of Ace teaming with Goliath.

Not a fan of either figure. No nostalgia for either so its an easy pass. I have the OG mutagen man fig, but not even on display. I may have Ace Duck without wings though. I do think the NECA Ace Duck looks like a cool fig all the same, for display purposes all the same. Like you said you could through him in with the Gargoyles and they could have a 'Wing Off'.

Sword fighting on the roof of a moving vehicle would certainly be dangerous. It is good you are conscientious for Leonardo and Shredder. I am glad that the Turtles in Time figures aren't exclusives, they were very easy to find and buy. I wish exclusives, like this Target exclusive, didn't exist. It just results in less sales for the company and less fans getting the figures they want. The only people who actually win are the ones who profit on the after market. What a shame. Great review though, Hatter! As always :)

It depends on what it was paired with when you ordered it I believe. Like my ace duck/mutagen man was a combined order with anthrax/scumbag, so I won't recieve my mine until anthrax/scumbag becomes available which is next year. My pizza monster was a combined order with rat king/vernon, so I'm sure my pizza monster won't ship until rat king/vernon 2pk is available and ships

If i remember correctly, you mentioned you clicked 3 on the Pre order when it was only allowed to purchase 2. So you ordered another from your Wife incase Neca didn't allow you to get that 3rd one. So if everything goes good for you, you will be getting 4 total.

Just to let y'all know. Neca not only canceled my diorama order, they now sent me ming from flash Gordon instead of my groundchuck and dirtbag. Now they don't have any to send me and just gave me my money with no further contact. In short, DON'T ORDER FROM NECA!!!!
