I love how this evolution in lore went from Pathogen ->Spores ->Neomorph ->Protomorph ->Xenomorph hive -> (Then branches off to) Red Xenomorph hive, and Pathogen Xenomorph hive. What I'm betting in the new lore for the Aliens franchise is that the next evolution for the xenomorph will take place, possibly creating the Ultramorph that was scrapped previously from the story. How I'm thinking this will work is that the Ultramorph is a Neomorph hybrid since it's a Neomorph that will take the DNA of a Xenomorph creature spawning an acid burster. I think the primary goal should be to both spread the pathogen and repopulate the hive and should well communicate with all xenomorph related species. Living in a mutual relationship with pathogen creatures and a parasitism relationship with the xenomorphs possibly farming, breeding, and growing the Ultramorph Hoard. That would be insane to see this agricultural behavior from Ultramorphs. If it all means the same, the Ultramorphs should also have a hierarchy system as well. The Queen Ultramorph shall be infertile but produce spores in keratin overgrowths in her back (which she will use to infect Xenomorphs that they were farming for reproducing the hive to create more pure Ultramorphs) and should be even more well armored than the Queen Alien, but not the Pathogen Queen. They should also allow Ultramorphs to have DNA of other creatures take a more organic form with the exception of no fur from mammals of course. Lastly, the same thing should also be the same when an Ultramorph dies; decomposition just creates spores.

The figure looks really good. I especially, like the head sculpts. As far as Alien Covenant is concerned, it wasn't a great movie nor was it a bad movie. Its nowhere near as good as the original of course. However, It was a pretty good movie that didn't necessarily have to reinvent the wheel. That aside, thanks Spot!

Im with you, I enjoyed Alien Covenant as well. The only thing I personally had a problem with was the rushed life-cycle of the xenomorph.

Would have preferred a head with the mouth closed to either of the ones we got. One of my favorite scenes was when he and David are just kind of looking at each other. Still a very cool figure. I do feel the head should be smoother and shinier to.

Blaine Hoover the reason this figure is so different is because they based the design off of the costume that was made not the CGI in the movie.

I have yet to watch the movie (I'll get around to it), But I really dig the look of this Neomorph alot. I think the design ranks up their with normal Xenomorph. Anyway, great review, Spot!

Ok, so I was just watching this. When you talk about the articulation of the legs, they CAN extend all the way. I took a blind faith risk. The joint is hidden well.

I have one of these but after opening, his left arm (elbow) jumped of the joint and I can't put it back. Toes are not able to move as well. I'll write to guy who sold me this one and I'll try to replace damaged figure.

Watching this review, I just realize now what they did with the back spikes, they should have done it the same way for the Alien Queen, because the spikes on the queen pops off and if they made it the same way like this one on the Neomorph, than you wouldn't have that problem of popping off the spikes.
