I just got my set today and I love these turtles. I was also just doing a little bit of math and discovered that with all of the accessories tallied up, there are around 260 possible combinations to choose from. All of that for just 4 basic turtles and around 60+ different accessories. Absolutely fantastic set.

Just got this today and didn't watch any review before and I thought they were the same as the first release, got the sdcc pack and the bright colors from target and love this set

Even though I _really_ loved the Figuarts Turtles, when that SDCC 8-pack came out, they were now king. I wasn't the biggest fan of the Figuarts ones being based on the promo art (the outline around the front shell, belt buckle outline, etc.); and ended up going through about half a dozen of each cause of paint missing/other defects from the metal parts. Even though the list of "issues" I have with them far outweigh the NECA ones, probably the main reason was the line ending without even that Shredder.

I just received mine from Neca and they are mostly matte finish with some random gloss spots. The heads are super matte finish. This made me quite happy as I didn't really like the glossy finish. I did get 2 sets of happy eyes and no frowny eyes for Michaelangelo, though. Oddly, Michaelangelo and Donatello have more gloss spots than Raphael and Leonardo. Michaelangelo and Donatello have pretty shiny fronts on the shells whereas Leonardo and Raphael have a very dull matte finish on their chests. I wish they all had the dull matte finish like that. Weird.

The original toon TMNT also had the waist joint/swivel, but it was probably a little stiffer. Check yours out and you'll see.

They made the actual figures like ten percent better, and that ten percent has made such a difference. They're so far ahead of the first versions just with the heads and better hips. I would advise everybody to take the jackets off before posing because my arm biceps were flipped in the opposite direction and if I had forced it...there would have been breakage.

Yeah, there was definitely all that talk with updating the hips. Always so interesting how perception can vary so drastically from one to another. No reviewer has mentioned updated articulation, or they've just said they have the exact same bodies. Not that we've gotten a prestigious list of trained professionals so far...but now that Jared's got a review, it's gonna get a little more meticulous.

So NECA was right when they said the legs were improved. And yes indeed, I'm _really_ excited for Ace! Not quite sure if I'm more excited for them or Mondo. Those two are my most anticipated figures, period. We just need a Usagi and the world will feel complete lol.

I got this set, is anyone else having QC issues with the faces coming apart? Almost all of them have their bottom halves sliding off over time and I can never get both halves to sit completely flush. Same with the slits going around the mouths on some of them.
