While the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are pretty cool, are they as cool as a Samurai Rabbit? Seems like that would be an easy question to answer in favor of the turtles but this hare has a pretty cool story and now he has an equally good action figure.

Im sure after they do Tmnt 3 movie figures they'll go in that direction. I cant imagine more cartoon characters. Who knows...but the 2003 series would be really cool along with Shredder and Foot Soldiers.

Wish they'd dabble in the 2003 series since characters like Hun and Silver Sentry would be nice. Even that version of Usagi would be great, especially since that design affords more articulation.

Usagi was, along with 1985 Doc, the one Geekout fig I wanted and I'm glad he doesn't disappoint. As far as what character they should do next in the TMNT toon line, well, they're really getting the deep cuts squared away with the Neutrinos and even the pizza alien, I'd argue most of the toon characters have been done, at least the ones worth caring about (Unless you want Burt's turtlephobic girlfriend). That said, I wouldn't mind reissues of some of the SDCC characters like Irma with either the Super-Irma gear or the rat parts from the Channel 6 set, maybe a Turtloid set since we only got one with Mondo Gecko, another April with a resized head, I think Splinter could carry a set on his own.

I just got 2 of these. One for my Turtles Display and one for a Separate Diorama because I like that character so much. Because of the rights of this character if you're even a little bit interested in this figure you should grab him. Not sure how many Usagi Yojimbo figures are going to be made.

I was way more into the videogames and the comics than the TV show. But that Usagi is a must have. I would like them to make Karai and Panda Khan but mostly an April done right.

his name is usagi miyamoto sort of based on musashi miyamoto and your'e pretty much right you say it as oosagi meaning rabbit in japanese, and that's not an eyebrow its a scar yojimbo is really just what he does not his name, hes a bodyguard/ sword for hire

I'm blaming my recent neca addiction on you Anthony lol. That super shredder convinced me and I've been grabbing wayyyy more than I even thought I would. Turtles characters I want them to make? Probably the military gorilla or the blue dude who had his eyes bulging out of his head and like a tentacle for a leg

It's weird how so many people, when speaking English, pronounce his name "Ooh-soggy." It might have to do with the vowel sounds required not existing in English. It's closer to "Uu-saah-gii," but pronounced quickly. I actually learned that not from this character, but from Sailor Moon, as her name is Usagi

Unfortunitly Panda Kahn has a company that he belongs to. The guys over at Super7 said something about that not too long ago. So I imagine the legal rights are a bunch of hoops no1 wants to jump through. But i fully agree either NECA or Super7 doing a version would be great

This and Archie Slash are dream figures come to life. With that said, I really want NECA to do stuff from the 2003 cartoon, which is probably the 1st or 2nd best TMNT cartoon with 2012.

Even though it is missing the spots on his top. This is the best Usagi action figure ever made. That line on Usagi's head is not an eyebrow. It's a scar from his final battle as a samurai. Where he was disgraced and had to become a ronin. The Snake guy was never in the 1987 TV show. So he won't get a NECA treatment. Maybe Super 7?

I'm starting to worry because I'm still waiting for Neca to release the Pizza Monster, Ace Duck & Mutagen Man, Antrax & Scumbug, Dirtbag & Groundchuck, Wingnut & Screwlose and all the Universal Monsters in Europe. Either that or my retailer is lying to me, the figures were released and they don't have them. I like this Usagi and I hope it gets released in EU since we don't have targets and they don't ship internationally. I agree with your critics, thanks for the review Anthony.

They did, just not the Playmates version. NECA is making the cartoon, movie, video game versions. Your best chance is having Super 7 make the Playmates version.

thanks. there hasnt been a 10/10. nothing is perfect when a budget is involved. but MP Beast Wars Megatron and Dinobot, Storm Collectibles Sagat, and a few others have gotten very close.
