@stovepipepappy Luis Valdez is the owner because HE started and FOUNDED Teatro Campesino in 1965 during the Delano Grape Strikes. That is HIS baby. Everyone who thinks they know anything ought to know that. He used to perform on flatbed trucks as a way to get people to understand they needed a union. The performers he recruited were not actors. They were migrant farmworkers. Luis Valdez wrote, produced, and directed all the "actos" the troupe performed.

@CheckMate657879 ... while "uncle Louie" lives on top of the hill up in San Juan .. all the of Teatristas still struggle. He incorporated Teatro Campesino as his own when the reality is that the Teatro Method that had evolved through contact and research all over the world. In fact teatro campesino researched Zoot Suit but where are the ORIGINAL teatro campesino actors. They were all sold out and given the boot when a profit making opportunity came about.
