I got the open and close erase the line. I think. Open to make it. Close to remove it and in between to help finish it. Confuse on when use a guard and not use guard. Now the trimmers dose skin fades. I get confuse on the 1& half ,the 1/16. Think i got the 0.5 is the 1/2 guard.

Nice taper... When you did the whole taper did you use the Conner of your blade??..
@nohedidnt816 жыл бұрын
Can you type the open/close and guard positions in the description? Like Step 1 No Guard all the way open, Step 2 No Guard 3/4 open etc etc. When you got to the 1 Guard it looked like it was all the way closed and this would help us beginners really keep up. Thanks in advance

Do u happen to have the Wahl cordless (magic) clippers. I'm not a barber but I'm really trying to learn how to cut hair to get into a apprenticeship program. I have the magic clips with the basic guards. I was told by a barbershop if i learn how to do decent fades and tapers they're willing to take me in and teach me the rest. If you can drop two videos with those haircuts and clippers, it would mean a lot to me. Dope video by the way!
@juanarroyo88127 жыл бұрын
Martin Corona if you're barely starting to cut hair i suggest not using the cordless clipper because it has a fade blade. i suggest you using the taper blade its better for beginners
@martincorona3227 жыл бұрын
Juan Arroyo thanks for your advice... Does that mean i have to change it every time i want to do a specific cut, Like if i want to try a fade do i have to change the blade again?
@juanarroyo88127 жыл бұрын
Martin Corona no its just that the fade blade is sharper and you cant really flick out because you can cut people(if you have it zero gap, which you should if u want to fade) if u have a fade blade on the magic clip just change it to the taper blade and once you start gaining more experience just switch back the fade blade.

Hey so I gave my first taper and when I didn’t it it was fine no scars or nothing but a day later my cousin sent me a pic and he had a huge scar across his whole neck like right where u start ur taper... i think it’s cuz I used the t outliners upside down to make my first line... am I not supposed to do tht or would u have any clue y it made tht scar ?
@BarberStyleDirectory5 жыл бұрын
#freekodak it could be a few things. Your trimmer blades could be set too close and they’re biting, you could have been pressing down too hard when making the bald guideline, or your client could have sensitive skin.
