@@HamBurgerHam. Well I don't remember if it was outright stated but seemed to be implied by manga/novels and apho story. Or well, rather it was implied that he has his herrscher powers. And Void Archives still called him a Herrscher of reason and said something about Welt being able to create new true star of Eden with reason power. That's the short of it. So he is either a full on herrscher, or closest possible thing to it with same powers. At the very least "superior" to ex Herrschers like Mei for some reason. But it isn't outright explained anywhere fully why he kept his core, or if not - why he is better than others and why Void Archives still calls him a Herrscher or Reason :-/

My personal theory based on the trailers, and her story in her character sheet is: Sparkle has become a title/entity past down. Like there was once a performer that has an onstage character called Sparkle. She was the first to pass over the "character" (along with the mask) to someone else, but at this point it was just stage, no weirdness. Somewhere along the line one of the performers that "played" Sparkle walked a path of Elation and so became an emanator blessed by Aha. This emanator Sparkle used her powers to inhabit her mask, meaning that the next "performer" lost their free will and become a puppet body for the emantor Sparkle (now in the mask) to control. Since then, there has been many "Sparkle" performer/puppets, but they are nothing more than beings controlled by the mask.

It can be that she have been acting for so long she would have housed many persona of her targets. She will have to "clean" her own head quite regularly. It will explain why there's a lot of dead Sparkle too.

Sparkle as a character clearly took a bit of inspiration from Kurumi Tokisaki from Date A Live and Batman's The Joker. She is a pretty even mix of the two. Her faith and personality as a whole can be summed up in one word: Chaos. Some in-game dialogue has her saying that she doesn't care whether her plans succeed or the Memokeeper wrecks her. Both outcomes suit her just fine. She is someone who just wants to party in the streets as the world burns around her as shown in the minute long animation.

Someone mentioned, beside immitating the express members she also act as other characters in the penacony chapter. "What your Wager" -> Aventurine. "Foolishness = pretending to be smart" -> Dr.Ratio. "Fool = Knowing when to act clueless" -> either Firefly or Blackswan. "Someone get in my way" + the fight with robots with katana -> Acheron fought Sam but in the end they both lose to sparkle.

I feel like the whole reveal at the end of the first trailer of all those other characters and backgrounds implies that potentially the WHOLE backstory she just gave could be made up. if you watch the bullet being loaded in the chamber in slow mo then you see that the bullet was in the last slot. red mask sparkle was playing with white mask sparkle, the like i do part is when white mask sparkle realises this. i think white mask sparkle trying to pull the gun away after is to give time for her to fire 2 shots into red mask sparkle as white mask sparkle showed a reaction that looked like fear when she shot the gun at herself. there's so much characterisation in that short fight.
