I'm like 75% sure Jax, who's whole deal is getting the biggest badasses from all over Runeterra to fight the void is going to be a founding member of the League of Legends in the post retcon continuity, and securing and containing dangerous magical artifacts is going to be one of their major goals. Another likely candidate is Ryze if he can learn to trust other people.

I wonder when thresh said it was easy to ignore the words that the nameless tome whispered, and that after being threatened to get demoted he would make it so a Warden died by miscatoragizaition, and a warden died the same way before he began studying the tome. Maybe he was already killing the wardens even before he began studying the tome?

thats a good question but it could have been an real accident from which his darkest thoughs "learned"
@rafasilva12652 жыл бұрын
The "book of biting" was probably an example of how he didn't give a damn about people dying. he probably lied about what happened there, too. it's most likely he caused the other guy's death and shrugged it off
@ichweissnicht68882 жыл бұрын
@@rafasilva1265 but why would he lie in the text that necrit reads? i mean he doesnt give a shit about writing down how the head warden will die
@unfairdani2 жыл бұрын
The tome whispering his darkest thoughts and him just shrugging them off because he was already deep inside the worst parts of his mind would be very fitting for Thresh's character. Like, when he transformed himself, just his appearence changed, as he was already a monster on the inside. The same would be true for the incidents with the tome, as you can't corrupt what is already corrupted.

I think I would agree. The others said that the book whispers dark thoughts into their mind but this is only because they recognize those thoughts to be dark and deny those thoughts to be their own. Grael on the other hand, sees those thoughts as his own and does not find them to be dark at all. More than anything, the Nameless Tome merely revealed his true nature.
@whitejester2 жыл бұрын
Now this makes super sense. Man was the best, wanted a good job, got stuck with an SCP job without any knowledge of preparation and just wanted his ambitions to flourish. Really whos fault is it, Grael for trying his best to be the best, or the people who denied him without giving him proper reasoning or arguments.

So long story short, the Vault of Helia was LoL's equivalent to the SCP Foundation, Grael worked there and got used and dissensitized to death caused by logistical mismanagament from his peers, proceeds to device how to catalogue everything neatly and proceeds to go nuts after reading the Nameless Tome (The Catalogue of Regrets?). Ruination comes, now we have Thresh. I don't believe he wasn't affected by the tome, rather it was so effective that he didn't notice it himself, and proceeded onto a murder spree over anyone he was deluded enough to think would usurp his place and research. It's a cognitohazard.
@grumpysushi15372 жыл бұрын
I think what these different pieces of lore(arcane, riot forge games etc.) tell us is that the lore we get upon champion release is just one perspective. Because in thresh's lore he is only referred to as thresh, and at times as "brother thresh" as though it is not only the omniscient narrator but also other characters that knew him as thresh before he was a wraith. His lore also states that he had enjoyed cruelty and had a dark mind even before he became a warden, but this information is contradictory to what we see in this game. We see potential lore contradictions with champions in arcane and with legends of runeterra, and I'm sure well see more in other riot games to come, but I think they're just the same lore from a different perspective. Only thresh and one person that thresh later kills knew about him having this book that whispers dark thoughts to him, so it makes sense that something like that wasn't known to anyone else and therefore not included in the lore. As of the latest episode of Arcane no one knows Jayce has any kind of relationship with Mel beyond a professional one, so if she betrays him and he becomes jaded and solely focused on his work, it wouldn't be strange for other to think of it as arrogance. just something to think about
@seelfire47252 жыл бұрын
no and yes. bios and stories are most of the time pov but arcane is another timeline that is not the games canon but its own, same as most other universes. its like how in comics you can have multiple diffrent series about the same character that maybe share key things but also divide at others. like how the amazing spiderman, spiderman and the mcu spiderman all are their own spiderman and based on the comics but from diffrent universes. same goes for runterra. we have the main universe that is everthing on universe. then there are the diffrent games and series we have and will have. some may change things to be a better game or story on its own.
@minos696662 жыл бұрын
@@seelfire4725 no mate, i think you are comparing a multiverse with a universe, uni means one and multi many, marvel's multiverse is one thing and runaterra's universe is another, no need to compare. There have been only 9 episodes, wait until more is released to see if thats retconed or not, and btw, the stories for the moment only diverse in the jayce-viktor relationship, not much more. And in that regard, Jayce still sees Zaun's people like dangerous, so it will see Viktor as well when he discovers about his transformation.
