The thing about genshin's lore is that there are ~three layers Normie lore - lore in archon quests, mostly surface level Veteran lore - lore behind limited time events, world quest, side quests, requires people who commit more time to the game to get Theorist lore - lore in books, artifacts, furniture, scattered pages around the world, runes that you need to translate by yourself The thing is all the trailers and stuff sometimes allude to the second and third layers but rarely do people play those

Okay. Necrit's avoidance to spoiler makes it harder for him to know the story. These tiny snippets of the lore aren't spoilers, they just straight up tell a story. By this logic, playing the game itself could be a spoiler. LOL. jk. I'd say, teasers and trailers are meant to be seen before certain quests, and sometimes (teasers, especially) deal with backstory, that the game itself doesn't delve too deeply in that particular character's story quest (but is still available in the game through text) so, you actually miss out on some details.

The structure of Genshin lore in its surface or early stage is still a bit non-expansive...But when you get to Enkanomiya, the Chasm and the Verdant fields of Nabu Malikata, you will know that the lore is as expansive as how an ancient civilization is built.

This^. Also something I've noted is they are both opposite AND in line with their dell'arte counterparts. By this I mean Tartaglia is sneaky and conniving in dell'arte, whereas in Genshin his character is the opposite. However, he gets the Gnosis by being sneaky and conniving. Scaramouche is not a Clown, but ends up being one by circumstance. In his eyes it's all a joke. Dottore in dell'arte is comic relief, and not that smart, whereas ours seems the opposite, but will likely be taken down by doing something stupid (like erasing all his segments?), which is also how he obtains the Gnoses. You see the theme? They are characteristically the opposite of dell'arte, but reach their goals by being in character. Hence some predictions. Pantalone is speculated to hate money, yet he's a banker and probably achieves his goals through using wealth. Ironically, in this way the Harbingers mirror the Archons, who are weird reversals of their ideals. Venti is about freedom, but is likely not very free himself, and by trying to create freedom for his people, has to restrict himself. Zhongli signs a 'contract to end all contracts', and resigns his contractual obligations in the process. Ei finds 'Eternity' in things changing and coming to an end. Nahida has to 'remove wisdom', and keep the people ignorant of forbidden knowledge. You get the point. It means we can kind of predict the story of both the Archons and the Harbingers by subverting it. Still great writing on Hoyoverse's part.

I agree but I think that's mostly because of the genshin community (and just the fact that he is the lore guy). His sudden popularity for genshin has attracted hundreds of people backseating him and people don't know the difference between spoilers and things he won't understand until later. It sucks for content creators getting into Genshin late because there's just too much to do to know where to go. This really is a game where you have to take your time in order to know what is going on and where. I'm worried about details Necrit will miss in Sumeru due to missing too much. Once he finishes all the archon quests and makes it through a lot of important world quests, I'd recommend Necrit to try and watch some of the content made by Genshin lore youtubers. I have like 4 that come to mind with high quality content, but it feels wrong to promote a youtuber in a different youtuber's comment section.

Genshin's story and lore is done in such a way that it'll never be the same if you play through it years later. It sucks that a new players will never be able to experience the amount of hype and awe we had as players as this was first revealed. After almost 2 years of so little information regarding the other Harbingers, having a trailer reveal every single one of them. That's just something that cannot be recreated.
