About Gangplank and the orange. How he is eating it actually makes total sense and is a great little detail. It's because of Scurvy, a common disease for sailors back in the day. Scurvy is caused by a deficiency in Vitamin C, due to long voyages and fruits not lasting. Oranges are a great source of Vitamin C, and in fact the skins have more nutrients than the flesh. This would explain why in game Gangplank eats oranges to cleanse himself. And why here he is eating it skin and all, because he cares less about the taste and more about the health benefits. Another neat detail is that in the Fizz card, the sailors are pissed at him cause he is knocking over a barrel of oranges. Also the Citrus Courier.

And the Petty officer is also with GP When he is summoned against GP he says "Caption am I fighting for the enemy?!" Edit: the jaull hunters are hunting the terror of the tide as in the ship monster from shadow isles. I recently looked at the full art you can see the hunter's ship and behind the boat part it looks like a normal sea monster.

One theory about Black Market Merchant: You know how Tahm Kench, being a demon, has no real appearance, but instead takes the appearance that is most appropriate to attract his victims into his bargaining schemes? And how his current appearance in game is based on how a Bilgewater gambler saw him? I always wondered "Why would the gambler see him as a catfish demon? Because he catfishes people?", but with Black Market Merchant being cannon, I now theorize that the Bilgewater gambler saw Tahm Kench as a Vastaya, not as a catfish demon. So Tahm Kench's appearance is actually that of a catfish Vastaya gambler.

Thing is RIOT is keeping the balance between regions, giving each region the same number of champions. So they added what are (at least in my opinion) top 5 most iconic champions from Bilgewaters. I believe in the next expansion they will add one more champion from each region.

The petty officer is a part of Gankplanks crew. He didn't have to make him angry to see the anger in his eyes. He has the green tattoos like the rest of GPs crew. Thats why he has the bombs, he didn't steal them. And he summons barrels in game which is pretty much a Gankplank thing. Also the Dreadways front looks like it's designed after the bearded serpents like GPs shoulder pad. It may not have the accurate ammount of eyes but the beard decorations really remind me of them

Okay love you vid but I gotta let you know some stuff m8 #1 when it comes to some of the 'not very interesting' ladies (the hired gun and the prowling cutthroat) they seem to work with or at the very least be on good terms with miss fortune due to their voice lines together, some of said voice lines suggesting them to be a bit more than friends or crew mates #2 The brash gambler is probably betting against twisted fate, since he is one of the main people at the gambling hall in bilgewater #3 The azure waves characters have many voice lines with both fizz and nautilus, all of them kind of pointing towards the idea that nautilus and fizz are the protectors of the azure way.. nautilus being the responsible one and fizz being like the drunk cool guy uncle that nautilus hates but all the little ones of the azure way love #4 Riptide Rex works for GP, the tattoos mainly give it away but we got a voice line between them and GP just like how the rest of the crew do #5 Gangplank has attempted, and failed, to turn in the plunder poro's bounty according to his voice lines.

*Pirate fact:* A "powder monkey" was the lowest ranking position of a cannon crew aboard sailing ships, their job was to bring black powder from the magazine to the guns (the magazine was set below the waterline to keep it from being hit by enemy cannon-fire). Because they had to run all around the deck, in between active gun crews during a battle, they had to be small and agile in order to make the trip quickly, not get in the way, as well as not get hit, so generally young boys (talking 12-14 years old) were given this role.
