Great video! Just gotta say your topics are interesting, useful, and relevant to modern music production. Your videos have no fat, getting right to the point--they're even annotated! Thank you for an awesome video. I've been building my own pre 90s presents for personal jam sessions. How did I not discover your channel before?! I would like to particularly thank you for walking through the patch design so clearly, describing not just what to do, but why. From your video I realised I've been working on the filter of my sounds too early in the design process. Fantastic. I learned something today!

Would love to see more vids on chords and a breakdown of the theory. If you use the number system, it would be great if you could mention scale degrees and what key you're in so that it would be a little easier to follow. Thanks for the vids

Hmm. I suppose you could use waveshaper for distortion and limiter for compression. Maximus can work too

What's your thought on VSTs vs analog synth for bass sounds? Do you find it to be a noticeable difference or are you always able to get the sound you want with a little effort via VSTs?

They can absolutely sound as good as an analog. But nothing beats having the real thing, and the connection you get from using it.

I'd love to know how the George Clinton "man's best friend" bass was made, it's apparently very simple, kind of Gap Band type as well... but sometime i tried to imitate it and it missed something... thanks for your funky videos, i can "resonate" with them !
