I have 8500+ points of Necrons. Right now (8th ed) they are not in a good place comp wise. Everything is overcosted. Destroyers, tesla immortals, overlord, cryptecs, Doomsday ark are best units. Scarabs and Wraiths and tomb blades have uses. Warriors for bubble wrap. The issue is your opponent will focus down your units and rarely will you get a chance at Reannimation Protocols. I do agree, they are arguable the easiest army to paint and get a good tabletop plus quality to them. ARmy Painter Gun Metal spray primer, nuln oil wash, green (or other glowing accent color for gauss and eyes). Base them and done. For characters add another color or two.

Combo deciver grandillusion with veil of darkness one unit in up to 9 with veil and the holder and the deciver and 1 to 3 units in 12 away

I run my Nephrekh 2000pt single battalion list with 4, 17 warrior blobs, 6 destroyers, 6 wraiths, 9 lynchguard with ws, 2 cryptechs with chronometron, and an overlord as the warlord. I’ve been playing with them since 3rd and find that loadout to work best for me. Hopefully the warriors will get a pt drop , or get the 3+ armor save like it used to be in the CA coming up.

Love these faction specific videos. I am considering getting into Necrons to offer a change to my Primaris Ultramarines and Death Guard. I see you did a Thousand Sons video, fantastic, another faction that interests me. Any plans on doing this for Death Guard? Or did I miss it?

Glad you enjoy the series. I don't collect Death Guard so prob won't be a video:) But you may see them in games a fair bit as Aaron Allen collects them and uses them in games on the channel:)

why the heck do they call it "fine-cast" if it's crappy? i keep meaning to ask if anyone knows why they call it that if the model is less quality

Sean C the idea was they brought out models made with resin that had higher definition than plastic. but they had lots of faults like bending of frames and air bubbles in the cast work which had to be filled in with filler. i think the resin stuff they make nowadays is allot better quality so ive heard.

That is a really nice-looking force, fair play! I've been playing Necrons for a few years now, and love the theme of how durable they can be with Reanimation Protocols. I have a soft spot for Lychguard, the first unit I bought for the army, and I always try to work them into my lists - usually with a Command Barge and Cryptek, then legions of Immortals for the tougher troops choice (and the fact that I don't like the Warrior sculpts).
