I am really enjoying this series. I also find it humorous that Ned would go about taking people hostages and by the time he left almost everyone not only didn't have a grudge for being held hostage, but actually became fierce supporters for Ned's gang.

Another great episode, but I was a bit disappointed the Jerilderie Letter mention. It contained one of the greatest insults ever put to paper. In Ned's words, the Victorian police were "a parcel of big ugly fat-necked wombat headed big bellied magpie legged narrow hipped splaw-footed sons of Irish Bailiffs or English landlords".

Bank Manager back then (and still do now) Do not exactly make a huge amount of money; it would be the regional or district managers who would be higher up on the food chain. It would be a comfortable amount of money, but not enough to relax or become idle.
