You did justice to a very important story in this country's early colonial history. I went to Rutherglen Primary School for a couple of years at age 8 to10. I became obsessed with the Ned and Kelly Gang story. I didn't know it then but I do know now, just how much it influenced the way I viewed the world we live in. For good and for bad. Top job mate, top job.

Jeez, last video we were at a B and S ball, this week its a history lesson - top stuff. As a schoolkid in 1970's Australia we got to learn about the bushrangers and the explorers, rather than Kings and Queens. Australian History - how good is it?! Top marks for giving the background to the Kelly story rather than just focussing on the final siege with the armour etc. I look forward so much to your content, its so unlike the usual travelogue variety that most visiting youtubers do. The Australian rural heritage aspect in your content is brilliant, you seem to have a true love for the real Australia that is missed by them in their search for selfie-friendly Quokkas and sunsets over the Pacific etc. I'd love to see your take on the Eureka Stockade, another Australian story that most Australians know little of, other than that we got a flag out of it that makes a cool tattoo. Great video, you seem to have a real love for this country and its people, and that shows up in your content. 5 stars!

G'day as you did not show some beautiful sights I'm gussing you missed them. Powers had a lookout on the ranges overlooking the King vally. Neds home at Greta is between that kookout and Glenrowan. The other sight was Woolshed falls where a lot of gold was found.

My irish heritage and a lot of Australians of irish ancestry see Kelly as an anti British agitator and later a folklore hero. I personally see him as a murderer and a thief nothing more. He chose his life when many settlers worked extremely hard to make a new life in the colony.

G'day mate. You spin a good yarn bloke but I reckon someone's been pulling your leg a bit as some of the items you mention aren't quite correct. The Kelly gang were the only Bushrangers to don the armour, it had never been done before and was only ever used once. The train at Glenrowan was derailed due to one of the hostages they had at the pub, a school teacher, named Thomas Curnow convinced the gang to let him go home with his sick sister where he instead ran out and flagged the train down before it could be derailed. There's one or two other small items that weren't quite correct, but for the most part, I'm pretty bloody impressed by what you've done, especially having come from the motherland old mate. You'd be a good knacker to have a beer with I'd reckon.

@@CapitalistBuddhist I just found this quote on the ABC website, "' 'Gaol' was the spelling of choice for the discerning Briton for much of the 19th and 20th centuries, [but] by the 2000's 'jail' had outpaced it." Most of my family is decended from Scots who arrived here in the 1880s. I tend to use "gaol" when my "goal" is to appear a little "discerning" and well educated.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😎
