Ned Rig Catches Bass When No Other Lure Will

The Ned Rig catches bass. There, I admit it. I hate the Ned Rig, it's incredibly boring to fish to me, but it straight up catches bass when they won't bite anything else. It's been a struggle for me this summer catching bass due to high heat and low water levels. Finally gave in and threw the Ned and it made the difference.
Gear I used:
-Shimano 6'8 Medium Fast Spinning Rod
-Daiwa Legalis 3000 Spinning Reel
-Power Pro 12 lb Braid with a 10 lb Berkley Fluorocarbon leader
-Zman Big TRD Orange/Black
-VMC Ned Head Hook
