Because of her voice which is a bit nasal and also her music lacks depth and creativity. It sounds a bit light and too simple to please carnatic connoisseurs.

There is no keerthana or kruthi of Thyagaraja in Malayalam. He wrote only in Telugu and Sanskrit. Not only Thyagaraj even the two remaining Shyama Sastry and Deekshithar of the Trimuoorties of arnatic Music also did not write in Malayalam.
