Hello , FROM WHERE DID YOU GET THIS TYPE OF MACHINE ? CHUCKLI MACHINE ??
@PataCake18 күн бұрын
@saviolourenco3813 Savio, I had bought mine in a shop at Dadar selling kitchen utensils and devices over 25 years ago. But a chakli press like this can be bought in similar shops that sell steel utensils anywhere in India, or at least in the main cities. It is also available online. But better to check it out in an actual store.

Thanks for sharing. Please post a non-alcoholic ginger wine home made recipe, Veena.
@PataCake7 күн бұрын
@@sonielizabeth3061 Elizabeth, you're very welcome. About the wine, I don't have a recipe for this as yet. But will add it to my list of requested videos and post a recipe when I'm ready. But do you have a reference recipe? Usually wine is a fermented drink. You have to add yeast for the fermentation and then alcohol is naturally generated in the wine during fermentation. Without fermentation, it would be like having some fruit juice. Does the recipe you're looking for include fermentation?
@sonielizabeth30616 күн бұрын
@PataCake: Veena, I'm looking for a non-alcoholic ginger wine. I'm given to understand that it doesn't need yeast. Yes, grape wine has added alcohol & yeast for fermentation but not ginger wine. The friend's mother whom I mentioned earlier had made it in my house a long time ago & I remember the ingredients, recipe from that time. Her name is Clara Fonseca from near Pilar. Now, of course she's very old & is not in a position to remember anything. This is just btw in case you know her. Thank you for your reply. It is much appreciated.
@PataCake6 күн бұрын
@sonielizabeth3061 Many housewives in the old days, made wine without added yeast, but allowed the fruit mixture to ferment naturally through the action of yeast present in the atmosphere, this being a longer procedure. Wine by its very definition is a fermented drink that may contain a low, high, or average level of alcohol content. If you just prepare the drink mix, it is technically not a wine but a decoction. The commercially available 'non alcoholic wine' is prepared by removing the alcohol from the fermented wine using expensive equipment, a process that cannot be carried out by home brewers of wine. If your neighbour used to keep the mixture aside for a few weeks and use it, it must definitely have been a naturally fermented wine. Anyway, I'll provide the recipe for an instant 'wine' ( a decoction really) and also the traditional ginger wine, but with a low alcohol content. Maybe two weeks from now. So stay tuned.

Dear Veena...cant understand what type of chakli press to buy....the one with a rotating handle or the press type...... request your guidance.Any particular brand?Thk u.
@PataCake22 күн бұрын
Either type will work. I am used to the type you have to press down to squeeze out the chakli strand. Go by customer reviews when choosing a brand or buy one off line from a good store selling kitchen utensils and gadgets.
@khursheedtuli593122 күн бұрын
Just tried to see the amazon link u hv posted.....says.not currently available.The other ones have v mixed reviews..many are bad......some arrive already damaged.....pl fo recommend a decent brand?thk u !
@PataCake22 күн бұрын
Khursheed, the availability of products is not something I have control over. Perhaps it is temporarily unavailable. The only advice I can give you is to go by customer reviews or step into any reputed store selling steel household items. They will surely be stocking a few brands of chakli presses.
