10 years after watching the movie, I realized why Toby saved Dino from that car explosion. It was because, he needed Dino to be alive for the cops to match evidence and acknowledge that he was responsible for Pete's death in a previous race, so charged with manslaughter. Otherwise, Toby would've served a life sentence for the infractions caused. He saved Dino, but not for some moral, heroic compassion. This made me think how smart the characters were written for such situations. Honestly, a pretty respectable action-racing movie for a live adaptation of a video game franchise.

I mean, it ain’t just that. During the trip to the West Coast, Tobey recalls the race between three Koenigseggs. Mainly how Dino just left Pete to go up in flames after flipping him. That’s the part that Tobey said he couldn’t forgive. Au contraire, I do think there’s some morality in pulling Dino out of the wrecked Elemento. If he’d just simply left him there to his fate, much how Dino did with Pete two years ago, he’d be no better than Dino.

That lambo got the quickest acceleration there and it is 400kg lighter than that agera. SVJ got a under 6 min 43 sec time on nurburgring being 1600+ kg. Now imagine an all carbon fiber 999 kg car with 600 hp NA engine. Even a hatchback weights more lol.

@@SpitfireTheWolf I actually realised last week (not for the first time, weirdly) that things like the Elemento having a wind-up window wasn't true-to-life, though I will say it makes a bit more sense from a cinematic perspective. A tiny flap would be laughed at when there's a tense conversation seconds before a big race.
