Just to point out, if youd like to be able to just ram police cars once you get to a higher rep level you can unlock an elite performance part for your car called Damage increase which significantly increases the damage you dish out to police, pair this up with Damage reduction and you wont take as much damage whilst doing so

You expected how the car reacts and they didn't drift this ridiculous like this and they didn't turn 180 at high speeds in a second. Find a balance. Underground had it. Many other MFS title had it. It became more and more simplistic. The movement of the cars just look bad. Plus the camera movement is weird too. I don't ask for NFS Shift or Porsche levels of physics. Just make it look kinda right, somewhat believable yet accessible for wide range of players. I don't think people complained before NFS physics turned into garbage. Even GTA games have better car physics and they don't even aim to be racing games.

@ so your telling me eve in underground you dont do high speed 180s. Thats a false statement. Underground two felt that way because of its simplicity. In most wanted you'll notice that feel in high speed and you can also do quick 180. It feels like your on asphalt because of not just physics but visually. In this game you are but the small camera shake emphasized it a lot more. Like MW. You have to tune your car appropriately in this game because you have 4 types if driving mechanics. UG2 had a grip setup 100 percent of the time. Sure there was drift but that was programed for just those drift events. Everything else is pure grip. Yes you can drift but its extremely difficult to pull of because of the games physics. In this game some cars cannot drift with a grip build. Makes sense its grip. But like the corvette even with TC it can drift because of the cars stock handling style. And Even so it drift very smoothly. You cant tell me 2015 had good handling because the car will spasm or not do what you tell it to. Payback the drift decently but its grip style wasnt there it was really bad. You also cannot compare nfs with GTA or Forza horizon because they are based on more realistic physic.GTA is a completely different game and forza as well.

Heat just doesn't grab me and now with patch they removed the pre-night race environment stuff like cars/people moving around/night fires etc. The atmosphere got DULL. Theres a few things I dont like about this game n there should be a few things added to the game 1. I dont like that you can only fix ur cars 3 times at night like c'mon now why is there a limit to how many times u can fix ur car when the cops are 80 percent of the reason on why ur car is gonna get damaged in the first place If we have a fix meter at least allow us to fix the car as many times as we want Dont put a fix meter and a limit to how many times we fix our cars Its ridiculous We never had this in the previous games so why add it to this game 2. Since I'm on the gas station I hate that it doesnt even repair the scratches on the car I hate looking at those scratches and knowing the only way to fix it is to go in n out the garage so that needs fixing 3. Lack of tuning options In need for speed 2015 one of the main reasons I loved the game is cause of the tuning customization I loved how u can tune the settings on the steering, differential, tire,sway bar,etc to make it a drift car or grip/track car but in this game it really lacks those options which is a bummer so hopefully we get more options on that N ik there options to buy suspension setups, etc but it's not wat I'm looking for I want to manually tune my car the way I want it if that makes any sense 4.the fact my car cant even move if I drive into the mud by accident So theres been a few times I come into a corner to fast and end up driving off the road which is no big deal but it's a problem cause I know i cant even move an inch due to the fact I'm in a street car as soon as I go in the dirt or mud N it's been times I drastically slow down as soon as I make contact with the dirt which gets me mad cause I end up losing racing cause of this error so that is a big problem in this game Why do I have to get stuck in the mud for driving in it by accident causing me to lose a race or have to reset due to the fact I cant move so that's another thing I dont like Other than that it's a decent game

Honestly, I enjoyed the story, I wish it was longer. The game isn't here to move its audience with a grappling story, but it kept me interested enough to want to prioritize it before exploring much else.

This has been the most satisfied Ive been with a need for speed game in a very long while. This game hits the right note when it comes to theme and setting and the gameplay is intuitive enough that it doesn't get dull after hours of play. I'm very satisfied with how performance parts work in this game. Lets just say installing parts has a lot more depth and helps decide how your car handles. The cops still leave a lot to be desired but at least they aren't dull and restricted to specific events to encounter. All in all this has successfully scratched the underground, most wanted, carbon itch I've been looking for in need for speed games with a little bit of midnight club mixed in as well.

It's definitely in the right direction. Ive been playing racing games since Ridge racer came out on the PS1 in '95. Even with the real early NFS games on the PS1. Underground 1 and 2 were revolutionary at the time for it's customization. Heat is pretty damn impressive. For the most part. It's a game where there's some story to it but it's just a racing game with a story that isn't fleshed out and it works because most racing games don't need a story to work. Nfsu hardly had a story and in nfsu2 even the game forgets it's story halfway. I'm glad that NFS heat turned out to be great. The only minor complaint are just the lack of cars. Too many exotic and generic cars you see pretty much in racing games. Overall it's a 7.5/10 almost 8/10 game for me. There should have been a character customization. You either implement that or nothing. I hate the premade characters just about everyone is odd looking. I'm still having fun with NFS heat so far though. Possibly lack of racing games heat is pretty decent by default.

@@davidnguyen3469 you can tell a lot of the implications on the game isn't even from EA it's coming straight from Ghost which explains why EA never bothered doing any advertising for it. I think Ghost had full control of this one you can clearly tell this game was a close call to Payback's similarities. Payback was an awful game with a generic boring story. Heat seems to be a game where there's a story but isn't heavily revolved around it and it works really well. Like Underground 1 and 2 that had a story but somehow it's never really there. That's how racing games should be. Just focus on the cars, a racing concept that doesn't need to be out there on your face, graphics and physics. Heat did well on all those aspects. Those who haven't played it. It's one I would recommend.

I'm loving Heat, but I see a lot of room for improvement too. Most annoying thing is I get kicked out of online play randomly. It only happens in THIS game, mind you. The button setup is weird too, gear shifting was better in Payback. I was playing with manual gears until I found myself several times going back to the garage right after leaving it (the button for upshifting is the same as "enter garage") or bribing the cops without wanting to (how weird is that?) because the button for downshifting is the same as "bribe the cops", thus cancelling the chase I purposely initiated while making me waste bank. Also it makes no sense zipping in excess of a 100mph inches away from a cop and they won't chase you unless you are/were in a race, even at night. What's with all the payback hate, it was great, we still play it. I only disliked the story "ending"

There’s flaws but the good definitely outweighs the bad. I like the damage system and wouldn’t mind it staying in future titles, the main thing that annoys me is how the gas stations don’t fix the paint on your car. I enjoyed the Fast and Furious story, tbf there isn’t a ton you can do with racing stories. I’d even buy a story dlc if they ever made one. The money balance was well done too, in payback you could do a couple races get 200k and max out your car. 200k in nfs heat gets you maybe all pro+ parts, if that. Overall I think they did a good job with this one, I got exactly what I expected and more from this game so I’m satisfied. Also, there’s FUCKIN ENGINE SWAPS.

This game feels like an introduction to some other game, as if they layered a base here for something better. Racing is casual and i love it, collectibles too. This is coming from a dude who's last franchise game was nfs the run, and before that carbon. To me it hits all the right marks, it's casual it's fun, it's arcady, just like these games should be. I'd just like to see Derek Hamilton again in the next game, as well as Dan (to those unfamiliar, Razor and Cross). They could probably fill the lacking part of the game, and that's story, it ends too early. It was great to see the storyline unfold, and get that sweet bmw. But unlike mw or carbon, where you needed to be max equipped for the end race. Here the level req was like 31 or 30, while the cap is around 50-ish

I beat the main story in 14 hours of game time. Could've beaten it sooner if I really got into the story. I wanted to reach rank 39 for the elite upgrades of the v6 engine *the 230k one not the 500k* in my BWM M5. But I kept getting wrecked with +500k rep. Eventually I went back and played the game and saw that the next engine cost 400k munny. The races gave a max of 32k, four of those were scattered around the map. 2 were beatable by me. Even though my car was 280 at the time for a required 210 race. They kept coming back or ditch me at the beginning of the race. Sometimes when I catch on to them, it felt like they were standing still. Moving at speeds way below my average speed. Either way I went back for the rep, beat the cops and the heat races, kept failing upwards and got to rank 40. Bought all the parts needed for the full elite engine upgrades. (I was also doing heat races for elite+ parts) Went back to story mode. Did 3 quest, which 2 of them was beating / defending cars from police. And finished the game. If I only knew ... bleh

Definitely going to buy it now, since I tried out the free trial on EA Access since I had a free month of it, definitely an improvement and have had so much fun with it since I first tried it, hope EA stays on this path for future NFS games, reminds me of the good old days of when NFS games were great, I would of never have thought to get that same feeling again after so many years after they had gone downhill, very glad to see them heading the right direction for the first time in a longggg time. Everyone: We hate brake to drift get rid of it! EA Ghost: Ok here's gas to drift! …………….. Also, The Crew 2 really isn't a great game except for the drifting. Setting up a drift car and using a wheel and pedals is one of the most satisfying experiences I've had in a racing game. Super hard to learn but once you start nailing some awesome drifts its so much fun. I wish NFS would support racing wheels it makes gameplay so much more exciting and challenging.

I've put in about 30 hours now. Its been fantastic so far and I'm still playing. Once I got to Max Rep, I know longer need to go out at Night. However, there are high risk Ultimate upgrades I can still get for the car and that will be fun when I dive in. Really, my only issues at the moment have been the "League". They talked it up so much but it's not... There? Lastly, some more activities like Drag Racing (we have Drag Tyres) or those Car Magazine showcases would be a great addition to keep me playing

Are you kidding? Rivals was easily the most frustrating and rushed NFS game I've played. At least 2015 and Payback are better made and are not full of stupid unfinished areas and glitches, and have much better and more interesting maps. I tune out of Rivals 10 minutes into whenever I try playing it. The Ghost games have gotten better as time has gone along in my opinion.

Payback was slowly in the right direction but the Random speed cards to get upgrades ruined the experience for me and the structured cop chases.

@@JoseAguilar-hl3ny All three games weren't very good. They all have at least one flaw that ruins the entire experience of playing them. Rivals was an unfinished, glitchy mess, 2015 had terrible handing and the worst police in gaming history, and Payback had the worst performance upgrade system yet, and no free roaming and instead, scripted police chases. I don't so far, see Heat having any game killing flaw.

TheBrickGuy7939 there was Free Roaming in Payback bro but no Cops while in free roam and it made it boring fast, The Story was a lil to much but again the Speed Cards ruined it for me! If I wanna get a turbo upgrade or a transmission upgrade for my car why the hell do I gotta play on luck with these random ass Speed Cards it just confused me and Heat fixed that with a simple Upgrade system. The more Rep you got the more upgrades becomes available

@@JoseAguilar-hl3ny I never said there was no free roaming in Payback, I said there were no free roaming cops in it. The only thing I might have quite some trouble with Heat is the damage bar and the unbalanced challenge levels of cops. But other than that the game is looking good.

if you remeber ps2 NFSU 2 it had to control options analog and D - PAD this is the must impotent setting in car games need for speed most wanted and need for speed carbon was a little downgraded but it had must impotent option 12 control options 6 analog and 6 D - PAD this is the setting i like to see come back or a full costumes controller option one day on NFS thank you

This, why can't I take out the cops without bashing into them and risking my health? The whole police system is really weird in this game. Pursuits in most wanted felt intense, cops would pit maneuver and try box you in etc. And radio chatter was accurate. Why does a ps2 game still have more style and personality than this garbage

This game would be perfect if you could actually change the controls. I hate driving in automatic but I have to suck it up bc using R1 and L1 to shift is kinda hard. They should take it back to shifting with the Right Stick! 9/10

It doesn't suck. Obviously it's not going to be up there with Forza horizon 4 but as far as a Need For Speed goes it's the best after Underground 1,2, MW, and 2015 that's for sure. Cheers and enjoy playing this fire NFS game.

Imo the damage bar is what makes this game so good. It isn't so easy anymore to just wreck the cops and isn't so frustrating when ur in the middle of a race and ur car gets destroyed from bumping into a tree🤷‍♂️

I've been playing need for speed since the first game came out on PC. I was disappointed with the games over the past decade. Recently I picked up hot pursuit remake on switch and I love it! Then of course I find nfs heat on sale for 12.99 haha.. totally pumped to play this!

The last need for speed I had was the 2015 one, it was good but the map was boring the always night time and the always online with bots weren’t very good, I’m enjoying heat so far, the new driving system is better and it improves the handling , customisations are brilliant graphics are brilliant, destructive environment adds to the realism of the game player customisations, I also really like the transitions from cutscenes to races

It's the best NFS in years. But please, do yourself a favor and play this one on PC - higher framerates are doing this game so much good that you wouldn't believe. It's abysmal that PS4 Pro/Xbox One X don't have "1080p/60fps" graphic setting instead locking framerate to 30fps in favor of higher resolution. It cripples experience pretty bad, I've tried both versions and when I finished first race on PC after spending 5-6 hours with XOX version it was completly different experience to me.

Actually the story is more tame than payback...Definitely gave me NFSMW Feels. The game is supposed to be challenging on any difficulty and cops are more aggressive than ever. Gamingbolt go back to payback if you want easy street

Arcade racing is not what I look for. It's a good diversion. Not having wheel support is a major downside.

Death Stranding is really unique and no wonder it's divisive. Not a typical game we've seen many times. Bethesda is understandable too. They fuck up anything possible. They deserve it!
