I have an idea. You know what would be fucking epic? THIS: The driving/racing/motorsport-loving part of the modding community should make a pure, all-out, full-blown racing sim based on NFS Hot Pursuit 2 (any or both versions), but this time made 100% realistic (in terms of driving physics, damage physics, 24-hour clock, day/night cycle, etc.), with identical graphics, but modified menus (of all types, including adding extensive list (in each race) of participating teams, drivers, cars, and their sanctioning bodies, and classes in the pre-race menu based on the original one), all original tracks (with all layouts, all modified with pit lanes, barriers, sponsorship decals, fan-filled grandstands, and trackside spectators here and there; the parts that were originally shortcuts would serve as parts of different layouts), and tonnes of automotive road-going and motorsport vehicles of all types and classes (not just cars, but literally everything, even the custom-made race cars featured in online automotive magazines like "Speedhunters"), but without the "Hot Pursuit" mode (this wouldn't be an actual "NFS Hot Pursuit 2", but only based on it solely in terms of menus and tracks). What do you think?

I loved this game as a teenager back in 2003. I had it for the original XBOX though. I finally beat the tournament and got all cars unlocked. There was one tournament race I just couldn't beat. I had to have my dad beat the race for me. I remember using the Ferrari 550 Barchetta for the race. It was a tough one. Almost like the AI used rubberband physics to catch up with me.
