Actually the helicopter spike strip slowed down both racers and the bugatti cop. You can hear the cops saying "don't lose them now. Go go go". The reventon which was speeding at this time used its momentum to zoom past the bugatti and took down both the racers.

The sound design as a whole is done amazingly well in this trailer. The timing of the sirens, engine sounds, helicopter woosh is just perfect and everything blends so well into each other. They even managed to flawlessly mix the beginning and end of "Tainted Love" together like it was natural. I just love the sequence of the Bugatti ramming and shunting the Zonda. It was only 4 seconds yet executed so well from the sound effects

It just occurred to me that the Police Lambo Reventon appearance almost feels like a callback to the 2002 Hot Pursuit 2's intro with the slow mo shot of the Police Lambo Diablo's appearance, drifting to chase the street racers and the location of the trailer, just like HP2's intro, was in a forest with racer's offroading before the scene ends on an open road. This game was a masterpiece of a successor to the original Hot Pursuit games.

I was hoping it would be just like Hot Pursuit 2010, but when I got the game and progressed through it, I couldn't believe how terrible it was... The reason why there's no Tuning or any Modifications: Those detailed car damages. By adding Tuning, decals, and bodykit will surely adds more Library to be written. I can say the newer Need For Speed damage not so significant, to keep it simple so the game is not oversized in capacity.

You are right there where no tuning, but the game still had that stupid NOS pluss burnout agressivity and silly weapons. It would so much better, if spikes and roadblock was the only weapon for the police. And the racer would had no gadges only his skills would matter, then it would feel more like the old games from the 90s.

@@nfsboss88 Not possible, or at least extraordinarily diffuclt to balance. If the police have no weapons that can be used from a notable distance behind the Racer like the the EMP or helicopter it would be very diffuclt for them to do anything to them if they built even a modest lead. The nitro system is also basically required since the game encourages contact and smashing to do damage crashes are completely unavoidable at times, the liberal nitro is to let people get back into the race or pursuit when those happen. The entire objective of the game is keep the police and racers close because the jockeying and ramming is where the action and fun in. If just getting ahead of the cops a few car lengths made you impossible to touch because the police have no boost advantage or ranged weapons to reel you in or slow you down that would be a very shitty and frustrating game.
