Those firsts 3 intros were excellent back in the 90s. Alistair Hirst, Saki Kaskas and Rom Di Prisco were the genius to create such a great soundtracks for those games. NFS III Hot Pursuit and NFS IV HIgh Stakes still my favorites from the entire NFS Games. Both in game soundtracks are absolutely exceptional, even today in 2022 , still hearing those tracks.
@Starbug1S12 жыл бұрын
So, when NFSIV came out, I was like, "Hey! I really like this Junkie XL guy." At the time (19), I was working at Sam Goody. I went to work on one of my days off, found the album 'Saturday Teenage Kick', popped the CD in one of the listening stations, and was glued to those headsets for a whole hour. I looked at my boss and said, "I'm buying this!" I still have that album and many others of Junkie XL. I still play it with other NFS music in my car to this day! NFS has always been my source of great car music.
@crash_override94352 жыл бұрын
I agree, I have NFS3 & High Stakes on PS1 still and it brings back all the same feelings for a core racer. Rom Di Prisco is on my daily rotation, one of my top go-to's. Always brings good memories when I'm listening to it and some Menu music from one of the old games starts playing.

The A.I. upscaled doesn't work very well for Underground 2 and earlier. A lot of artifacting. It looks like an extreme sharpening filter was applied to every frame. The Post-HD games seem to benefit from A.I. upscaling thanks to the higher pixel counts.
@TomokoxKuroki2 жыл бұрын
no its just a poor job, theres ai upscales of all the older games out there that look much better. i think he just used a poor source quality, like versions of these videos that were already stretched and pixelated so the ai just upscaled the already-oversized pixels into even larger blocks, instead of starting from the actual original resolution

*My personal list:* - pro street. It's just perfect. I actually had a hard time trying to choose between this and hp2010 for the first spot, but I decided to go with this because of how chaotic yet beautiful it is - hot pursuit 2010. Beautiful. Love the music, love the race in the intro. You can feel the adrenaline just by watching that - heat. Really cool. Love the modern neon vibe mixed with the hiphop music. The neon vibe is honestly my favorite in the entire franchise. I really want for heat to get a sequel - ug2. Even when I was younger I'd never skip the intro. It's that cool - rivals. Admittedly it's really edgy but man I really love the cinematography *Honorable mention:* - carbon. I used to love the opening a lot, but now it's a bit underwhelming mostly because of how short it is. Still love how cool the togue (canyon) race in the intro is - most wanted. Similar with carbon, used to love it but as of now it's kinda meh. And before anyone is gonna scream at me, I grew up with mw and the other post ug1 NFS games. I just, idk. It isn't as cool as I remember. One thing that I can say for sure is that the BMW m3 gtr is the most iconic car in the media - ug1. It's cool, like really cool but the others are just much better - the run. It's really really cool but way way WAY too short - hot pursuit 2. It's unbelievable that it was from the early 2000's. I remember when I saw that for the first time I thought it was a modern NFS game that somehow I missed, but nope it was from 2002. The only reason why it's here is the same with ug1
