Need For Speed Payback - LV399 Beck Kustoms F132 Race Spec has some strange Drifting Physics

Fully Upgraded Level 399 915HP Beck Kustoms F132 Hotrod gameplay for Need For Speed Payback. Showcasing it's overall performance in 5 events. Performance/Speed Cards and stats are shown at the end of the video. Played with keyboard and manual transmission.

Beck Kustoms F132 Race Spec Performance Review:
I'm sure you noticed how fast the Moutain Run was, faster than Huayra, 918 and Huracan, and the closest to the 911 Carrera RSR's time so far. But this car has a very inconsistent and strange drifting physics to the point it is a god on mountain tracks with hairpins but absolutely trash on other tracks.
Lets address it's weird physics. If you drift at speeds that you will use 3rd/4th gear, the car's tires will spin rapidly and it will cause understeer to your drift. The greater the wheelspin, the more the understeer. But when combined a timed NOS shot at corner exit, you will get a huge corner exit boost from it's wheelspin, far faster than any car in the game. I think I've already demonstrated the boost you get from hairpin turns, if you do it right it is almost instant from 80mph to 200mph.
Then you have the other side of the coin. If you use 5th gear to drift, you won't get any drift understeer because the tires don't spin. Because of this, you also get shit cornering speed as it's drift recovery speed isn't good. The Becks Kustom is really bad at tracks with high speeds because you will keep losing speed from drift after drift as you can't benefit from the corner exit boost from 3rd or 4th gear.
Other stats wise, it has pretty strong NOS accel but it's engine accel is very weak, especially at high speeds. It is also quite a difficult car to microdrift since it's microdrifting angle is quite large. It's steering is quite sensitive and you can easily lose speed from minor grip adjustments.
How does it compare with 911 RSR and Regera:
Eventhough it's only 0.5 secs slower than 911 RSR on Mountain Run, I cannot recommend the Becks Kustoms because it will be trash at any sort of tracks that have high speed cornering.

This corner exit boost actually increases the longer you drift, there's a roundabout in the city that if you drift a few laps around you can get a very long lasting corner exit boost, I've gotten it to boost me for well over a mile and I'm sure you could get it to go for multiple if you had more patience than I had at the time.

that's a good analysis on the drift part..explains alot for drift cars..i've been wondering on why does the BRZ is a good 299 drift. The amount of wheelspin it provides, converts to insane exit acceleration.. I didn't notice it cause i've been drifting the brz without sound, didn't know i was drifting at low rpm in 3rd gear..cause the exit is always fast.

I love the Beck Kustom personally the Boost you speak of is what we call the slingshot Factor and it does do decent on high-speed tracks decent it depends on the driver I don't necessarily have problems on high-speed tracks with that car

It isn’t “weird physics”. It’s inconsistent with drifting because this cars was A. Built for gripping corners and B. Has Slick tires. And if you don’t know what those are, they’re tires meant for gripping onto tracks.

This is one of the things i simply hate in this game: All cars just drifts through the corners, there's no grip racing like it was back in the days of Pro Street. It looks more like a glorified version of Asphalt from mobiles. I miss Pro Street

I can see why its drifting/engine accel is ass in comparison to other cars. Now that the other cars handling was tweaked to be on par with the F132, we now see that its weakness is downforce.

Car imo handles similar high speed wise to how it did in NFS '15 so for me this is definitely a win cause it's all I used when it released and man did I piss some Porsche users off. But yes this a car that requires immense skill to pull off, and clearly I have still not mastered it since my mountain run time is 6 seconds slower to you

It has strange driving physics because the tyres are slippery if you look closely, and it's an F1 so if you wanna turn then just realese the gas that's what F1 racers do (i am not an F1 fan)

Why all those cars feel so lightweight and easily fit in every corner? I finished the story with my 399 lvl Porshe GT4 and I am overall happy with that car, but man... it feels so heavy comparing to those cars from YT videos, where they easily beat the sharp turns with 160mph or more, whereas I struggle to fit in one with less than 120 mph, cause I have no control over my car at this point. Is it because of my car?

I think i know what you mean. If you come out of a corner in to the straight line you are still taking this black Line with you dont you? But this is normal, if you ever used the Speedglitch of the Custom you know what i mean. Try it out: do big donuts and then drive a straight line... you go 0-300 in like 4 sec. (The only thing: youre front tires have to turn to when you do the donuts)
