Here's some advice for KIA owners. I have a 2017 Sportage, and I have found out a couple things that seem to apply to most KIAs. If you find your KIA starting to butn a lot of oil in between oil changes, you need to replace the PCV valve, which a simple task for anyone to do. If you find that around 100,000 km the engine oil light seems to stay illuminated longer than usual at startup or when the engine is idling, or it might flicker on and off, first check the oil level using the dipstick. If the level is ok, then you need to have the oil pressure switch changed. You can do this yourself if you're adventurous, but it is an easy job for the dealer to do.
