I see you’re not using the “funnel”, but a pyramid. I’m glad, because I think the “funnel” image is wrong. So darn wrong. it gives the subconscious concept of something getting to the “bottom” like magic, thanks to gravity. If it was a funnel, we should also imagine to pour alive spiders: the unlucky, weak ones will fall down, but the rest will fight to get out. Like that, makes more sense, but still you’re forcing them and no living being would like it, so won’t work. But using a pyramid, makes so much more sense: you have to convince them it’s a good idea to hike to the top, so make them wanna get to the top. Free will works better. Makes sense? 🤔

Hey Dan, I'm planning on opening a service based business and was wondering how much does location matter. For example, should I open in the more expensive part of town and deal with higher overhead that I may not be able to pay or open in a less expensive area but deal with loitering and potential criminal activity. Everything in between seems to be taken already. Thanks.

Dan hands down, you're the man!! I recently let into my house a door to door vacuum cleaner salesperson, purely out of curiosity as to how he was going to sell this product to me. He brought out a folder, started telling the WHOLE history of the company....sigh...I lost interest and just had to stop him. I then said I don't really care, I just wanted to know, how well does the vacuum cleaner work!? I said, show me how it works and you might have my attention. Long story short, I showed him his way out very soon after that. So this concept of letting a client/customer get a "taste" of what you have to offer is spot on.

Wow, I love the new effort behind your editing. The way the pyramid shifts so it stays parallel to you when the camera angle changes, that´s fantastic. Also how it just blurs everything behind it instead of simply covering it up completely. Finally, the way you keep looking at it as if it was really there floating in front of you. Amazing.

*I'd say that if you really want to get out there and start getting more customers you start with getting a mirror for your business. See what you're bringing out there and don't forget to bring people value. Not any kind of value, the actual value they need. How? It's easy there is a small secret weapon (maybe not that secret) it's called social media. People buy from people they know.*

Dan, great video, as always. This is actually a vivid example of a Nurture Marketing Strategy. You build a sales-relationship with an individual. Our goal is to identify where they are at in the product-purchase life-cycle and nurture them to purchase. All you need to find out is 1) Who your clients are? and 2) Where are they in the product purchase cycle.

I am seeing this in online business that does Software as a Service (SaaS). For instance, like LinkedIn they are offering 1 month free and money back guarantee. This is the proverbial example you have given on the video. It serves to give a taste before the customer to actually buy the product and a way to back out if they don't like it. Amazon Audible is doing the same thing too. They will just give you a free audiobook of your choosing after you sign up. Thanks for opening my eyes to connect the dots Dan!

Dan great lecture. As for me i'm in software engineering and one of the ways i give a taste is by having some apps out there for free. Some of them might have ad's on top running for revenue but some don't have any kinds of ad's, its just a free app they can use for something they need or play a game they might enjoy when traveling or needing to kill sometime. I think its a great way of getting the rest of your potential customers by giving them a taste to savor and enjoy. Then later on they can look at what other goodies you have to offer and partake of some of those, even the ones with a price tag because they've seen you have a quality product to offer. Keep up the great work.

The key to getting to the middle 60% (not including 10% of buyers and 30% of non-buyers)... is to become a 'salter'. You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink. But you can salt the horse's oats to get them to WANT to drink... or at least sample your work and build more curiosity. The better your skills become, the better salter you should be.
