Thanks for the morale boost 😉 It'd be a lonely and pointless effort to make videos nobody was watching, so thank YOU for enjoying each one and letting it make a difference in your world.

I don't know how this happens, Chad, but so often your videos come just when I need to hear them. I am preparing to host a small team that has really been through the wringer over the past 2-3 years. They need space for some individual and collective healing. I have been wrestling with thoughts around what I can do in just a few short hours. You have reminded me that holding and living out that intention of listening deeply so they feel seen and heard will go a long way to making it a meaningful, impactful experience. Thank you for so generously sharing your wisdom with us! Your words help shape a beautiful world.

Chad, this is wonderful. I feel that only just now are we starting to emerge from the weight and loneliness of Covid isolation. thank you! I can't imagine how much you must miss your friend and partner. What a gentle, lovely man. And, I met you both through Zoom where you rocked my world with the concept of connection before content.

One of these days, we're going to wind up in the same conference or event without the pixels in between and a small seismic explosion is going to happen haha! Cheers! 🙂

One time to help boost morale when staff members were leaving left and right we had a painting party where we had an artist come in and provide the all ready canvas and we had food and music in all kinds of just quiet time to just be in the moment a painting and that really change the mindset and the dynamics with the team quickly because we were connecting not just in a physical way but in the moment of something that maybe work was on someone’s bucket list or something that they’ve always wanted to do but they never have time for really really helped open some connective in open dialogue to support the wonder of what could happen next .

My thought is that I would admit to the group that “ I’m feeling a need to make some change to re-emerging things.”. Then ask for a brainstorm of ideas from the group about “some ways we might collaborate to make a simple change(s) that might help recharge our focus and enhance our accomplishments”. lISTENING!

I will try the idea of sending individuals to their own breakout room for five minutes. That may be what's needed to eliminate distractions and focus. I've always thought of breakouts as collaborative spaces.

If the intention statement for a particular gathering or exercise is strong enough, it can help shift "attendance" into "attention" for sure.

Terrific ideas as always, Chad! Thanks for sharing! Just to build on the Goldmine of Goodness idea, I love the notion of sending people out into the Internet for 10 minutes to find "golden nuggets" worthy of sharing with the group, but then I thought about maybe just having people search their own bookshelf for ideas to share. Or, maybe even more interesting, to have people grab a book at random without knowing upfront why they need it and then have them search within that book for a golden nugget of an idea to share. This reinforces that interesting ideas are all around us and often available right at our fingertips.

AWESOMEEEEEE extension! Thanks for following my always-invite to "ruthlessly steal and reinterpret" everything I say and do and apply it to your own context. Keeping the "goodness" closer to home will make this exercise doubly useful and sticky. Thanks for taking the time to share here, Jeff.

Chad, Great idea of how can we let people be seen and heard! Reminds me a lot of what you mentioned in previous videos. Specifically, on the concept that it is better to be interested than to be interesting! I've been using this element and have been able to spark conversations and connections with people! Thanks to your channel and books Chad!! Highly recommend them to anyone who watches your videos!! All the best! -Robinson
